Atlantic Dance Hall Has One Public Weekend Left, Then Disney's BoardWalk Nightclub Becomes a Private Events Venue

Disney's page for Atlantic Dance Hall now says the 21-and-over BoardWalk nightclub ends its regular weekend operations on October 1 and will only host private events after that. WDW News Today and WDWMagic put the final public nights at Friday through Sunday, September 25 to 27, from 8pm to 1am. Next door, the new Hurly-Burly lounge opens October 1.

Steel Rises Behind Pirates of the Caribbean for a Magic Kingdom Building Labeled MK Park 3 Support Building in District Records

New aerial photos show steel framing several stories tall and a tall precast concrete column going up backstage at Magic Kingdom, beside the canal where the Electrical Water Pageant barges are moored. Disney has not announced what it is. Blog Mickey reports the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District's records label it the MK Park 3 Support Building, and Park 3 covers the same general area where work on Piston Peak National Park and Villains Land is under way.

Flatlands Bar & Grill Opens This Week at Flamingo Crossings With an $18 Clothesline Bacon and a Chef From Cítricos and Topolino's Terrace

A new American bar and grill is opening at Flamingo Crossings Town Center on Walt Disney World's western edge, created by former Patina Restaurant Group CEO Nick Valenti with an executive chef who cooked at Cítricos and Topolino's Terrace. The restaurant's own homepage dates the grand opening 9-21-2026, while WDW News Today, which attended a media preview, says the public opening is Tuesday, September 22.

The 2027 season of Discovery Cove's evening dinner show runs April 30 through August 7, against June 5 to August 8 this year. Adults start at $122 and children at $58, both up $5. The sloth encounter went from $59 to $69, but nightly capacity doubled from 10 guests to 20. The Serenity Bay happy hour is also gone from the published itinerary.

Legoland Florida retired its Silver, Gold and Elite annual passes for Standard, Preferred and Premium on August 31. Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida's monthly pay page never got the memo: it still sells a tier called Gold at $19 a month. The pass card printed right underneath that heading reads PREMIUM ANNUAL PASS, and the comparison table further down the same page calls the identical $19 product Premium.

A Legoland Florida blog post updated Friday tells families the new Halloween walkthrough runs continuously from 11am to 8pm. Attractions Magazine went on a hosted media visit and found no standby line at all: a 2pm opening, entry by scanning a QR code into the Legoland app, a 40 minute virtual wait and another 45 minutes in a physical line after being called.

A Dodge Charger Ride Vehicle Is Being Pulled Along Part of Hollywood Drift's Track by Rope at Universal Studios Florida

Aerial and ground photos published Saturday show a black ride vehicle built to look like Dominic Toretto's 1970 Dodge Charger sitting in Hollywood Drift's first launch, with a rope on its nose and arched metal frames attached to its sides. A second winch sits at the top of the return hill above Universal Music Plaza, and appears set up to pull a car through that section against the normal ride direction.

The state's Department of Environmental Protection says it is investigating the sewage spill at a wastewater facility next to Aquatica's parking lot. About a dozen manholes overflowed in the nearby Williamsburg neighborhood during repairs, and Orange County apologized to residents impacted. SeaWorld says Aquatica was not impacted.

Legoland's help center now lists flat upgrade prices for turning a Legoland Florida ticket into an annual pass within 30 days of your visit: $99 for Standard, $139 for Preferred and $189 for Premium, no matter what you paid for the ticket. Universal Studios Hollywood officially opened its Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift on Wednesday, seven weeks after guests started riding it in technical rehearsals. The release lists 72 MPH, up to 3.6 Gs and four launches along 4,100 feet of track. Orlando is building its own version on the old Rip Ride Rockit site, and Universal has said the two will not be the same ride.
