The signature hot dog at Fat One's is a footlong that costs $15.99.

Joey Fatone's Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice opened at Universal CityWalk on Saturday, September 19, taking over the space Hot Dog Hall of Fame left behind in July. Universal announced the concept, the date and three of the nine dogs in a September 14 press release, and the rest of the board turned up in preview coverage before the doors opened. Here is the full lineup, with prices.

What the hot dogs cost

WDW News Today ate its way through much of the opening-day menu and published prices. The signature Fat One, a footlong piled with roasted pork, pepperoni, chili beans, cheddar cheese sauce, red onion sauce, fries and chives, is $15.99. The rest of the prices it recorded:

  • The Brazilian: $14.99
  • The Vegan: $13.99
  • Johnny's Pizza: $12.49
  • Dirty K-Pop Dog: $10.49
  • Loaded Pop Fries with Cheese, Bacon, Ranch & Chives: $7.49

Inside Universal published the full nine-dog lineup: The Fat One, The Brazilian, The Angelo, Dirty K-Pop Dog, To-Ny, El Fonsi, The Cubano, Johnny's Pizza and The Vegan. The outlet also reports you can order a plain hot dog if none of that appeals, and that the team will customize orders as best it can, including gluten-free and vegan.

The Italian ice, with and without a shot

There are six Italian ice flavors, per WDW News Today: lemon, mango, tropical, cherry, cotton candy and blue raspberry. All six are vegan and gluten-sensitive. A single scoop in a paper cup is $6.79, and the Disney Food Blog, which previewed the menu the day before opening, lists a smaller size at $5.79.

Then there is the other version. Any flavor can be ordered with a shot of vodka, bourbon or rum for $13.79, and WDW News Today describes what shows up: a bigger portion, served in a plastic cup rather than paper, with the liquor loaded into a pipette. No straw. Its reviewers tried lemon with vodka and gave it a 7 out of 7.

Three beers brewed for a hot dog counter

Universal's press release said only that the restaurant would pour "specialty beers." Inside Universal got more specific: Crooked Can made three exclusive brews for the restaurant, a lager, an IPA and an amber, all on tap.

Attractions Magazine reported that Fatone was not interested in simply putting his name on the old Hot Dog Hall of Fame space and leaving it at that. The goal he described to the outlet was a restaurant with an identity of its own, built to last long enough that guests would plan a stop around it rather than treat it as a celebrity novelty.

The dog Fatone did not think of

Fatone founded the chain with his manager, Joe Mulvihill, and several of the dogs are personal. El Fonsi, as Inside Universal lists it on the full menu (Attractions Magazine calls the same dog The Fonsi), is named for his friend Luis Fonsi and carries sofrito, mayo-ketchup and potato sticks. Attractions Magazine reports Fonsi grew up in Orlando, and that the pair got word to him about the dog while he was in Spain for "The Voice." The Angelo, named for Fatone's character in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, is the Greek one: tzatziki, tomatoes, red onion, olive tapenade, feta, fresh dill, brioche bun.

The Dirty K-Pop Dog came from somewhere else. "Universal's culinary team brought in different cultures and flavor profiles. The K-Pop Dog is something I never would have thought of," Fatone told Attractions Magazine.

As for the ambition, Fatone put it to Inside Universal this way: "I want people to have an experience when they eat these hot dogs." He also told the outlet he is a "plain Jane" when it comes to his own hot dogs.

Opening morning drew a crowd

Universal encouraged guests to start arriving at 10 a.m., with the first-100 wristbands handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. Each was good for one free hot dog served by Fatone himself. WDW News Today reports fans were lining up closer to 9 a.m. and possibly earlier.

The restaurant sits on the upper level of CityWalk, across from Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, with outdoor seating or the option to take it to go. Premier and Preferred Passholders get their dining discount there, per Universal's own blog. The space keeps some of Hot Dog Hall of Fame's stadium-inspired bones under the new red, black and white branding.

Worth knowing: Hot Dog Hall of Fame had been at CityWalk since 2014 and closed in July 2026. Fat One's itself started at The Florida Mall in 2016, so this is the chain's return to a permanent Orlando address a decade later. Fatone raised the possibility of seasonal dogs with Inside Universal, and he and Mulvihill told Attractions Magazine that single items or ice flavors could swap in and out. That outlet reports the two plan to keep the menu focused rather than grow it, so expect substitutions more than additions.
