Flatlands Bar & Grill Opens This Week at Flamingo Crossings With an $18 Clothesline Bacon and a Chef From Cítricos and Topolino's Terrace
There is a $68 ribeye on the menu a short drive west of Animal Kingdom, and the executive chef behind it used to be chef de cuisine at Cítricos and Topolino's Terrace.
Flatlands Bar & Grill is about to open at Flamingo Crossings Town Center, on the western edge of Walt Disney World. WDW News Today attended a media preview and reported on Sunday that the restaurant "officially opens to the public on Tuesday, September 22." The restaurant's own homepage says something else: it carries a "grand opening" heading over the date 9-21-2026, a Monday. The restaurant is directing bookings to Resy, though as of Sunday evening the listing showed no tables available on any date we checked, offering only a notify option.

Where it actually is
The address is 124 Ruby Red Place, Winter Garden, FL 34787. Flamingo Crossings Town Center sits on the western edge of Walt Disney World Resort and is primarily reached from Western Way, west of Disney's Animal Kingdom. As WDW News Today put it, "It sits on the opposite side of Walt Disney World from Disney Springs, just beyond Disney property's western entrance."
The center is a working shopping plaza rather than a themed district. WDW News Today lists "hotels, restaurants, stores, and services, including Target, Wendy's, an AdventHealth ER center, and several other franchises one would expect of a typical shopping plaza." Flatlands sits directly across from its sister restaurant, Simply Capri.
Two opening dates, take your pick
This is the part worth checking before you drive out. WDW News Today, publishing on Sunday after its preview visit, says the public opening is Tuesday, September 22. The restaurant's homepage puts a "grand opening" heading directly above "9-21-2026," which is Monday.
Neither is hidden and neither is wrong on its face. Preview-week dates move, and a homepage heading is not always the first thing a new restaurant updates. If you want to be there on night one, call (407) 347-1808 first.
The menu, with prices
The posted menu is a steak-and-seafood list with bar food underneath it. The homepage's signature dish, Clothesline Bacon, sits on the bar menu at $18.00, described as "Maple-bourbon glaze, rosemary, Florida orange zest, citrus mustard."
From the Steaks & Chops list:
- Prime Ribeye (22 oz), $68.00
- Filet Mignon (8 oz), $58.00
- New York Strip (14 oz), $56.00
- Lamb Chops, $48.00
- Flat Iron Steak Frites (8 oz), $38.00
Under Flatlands Classics: Dover Sole $58.00, King Salmon $42.00, Cornish Hen $36.00, Mushroom Risotto $28.00, Spaghetti Pomodoro $26.00. Sandwiches run cheaper, with the Flatlands Burger at $24.00, the Mushroom Burger at $20.00 and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich at $19.00.
There is a raw bar: East Oysters are $3.25 each or $19.00 a half dozen, West Oysters are $3.50 each or $20.00 a half dozen, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail is $30.00 and Mini Lobster Rolls are $27.00. The bar menu carries its own U-10 Shrimp Cocktail at $19.00, eleven dollars less than the dinner version, though neither listing says how many shrimp you get.
Brunch is its own menu: Steak & Eggs $32.00, Smoked Salmon Bagel $23.00, Flatlands Benedict $22.00, Croque Madame $22.00, Florida Citrus French Toast $19.00, Avocado Toast $19.00, Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes $18.00. Brunch sides are cheaper still: Breakfast Potatoes $7.00, Applewood-Smoked Bacon $9.00 and Two Eggs Any Style $9.00. On the dinner menu, sides include Truffle Parmesan Fries at $15.00, Creamed Corn at $12.00 and House-Cut Fries at $10.00.

The preview menu and the posted menu do not quite match
Worth knowing if you read the preview coverage and built expectations on it. The menu WDW News Today was shown listed a "10-ounce Filet Mignon"; the posted menu sells Filet Mignon (8 oz) at $58.00. The preview's "8-ounce Prime Chuck House Burger" does not appear under that name online, where the Sandwiches & Burgers section lists only the Flatlands Burger and the Mushroom Burger, neither with a weight or a cut. "Sweet Spicy Cauliflower" is now just Cauliflower ($19.00), and "Maine Lobster Bisque" is now Lobster Bisque ($16.00). Little Gem Caesar ($15.00) survived the trip unchanged.
Menus routinely shift between a media preview and opening night, so the posted menu is the one to plan around.
Hours, and a second thing to call about
The website gives three versions of its own hours. The homepage says: "Join us for dinner Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with extended hours until 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Brunch is served Friday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM."
The Hours & Location page and the site footer both say something different: dinner Sunday to Thursday 4:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Friday and Saturday 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with brunch Friday to Sunday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. That footer runs on every page, so the homepage contradicts itself: the second set of hours sits at the bottom of the same page as the first.
The Menus page carries a third block, headed "Hours of Operation," that matches neither: Monday to Wednesday 11:30 AM to 11:00 PM, Thursday and Friday 11:30 AM to 12:00 AM, Sunday 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with Saturday left off entirely.
So the Saturday close is either 11:00 PM or 11:30 PM, the Friday close is 11:00 PM, 11:30 PM or midnight, and the earliest weekend opening is noon, 11:00 AM or 10:30 AM, depending which page you land on. For a late table or an early brunch, the phone is the reliable source in week one.

Who is behind it
This is where the restaurant stops looking like a plaza tenant. According to WDW News Today, Flatlands and Simply Capri share an owner: "Both concepts were created by restaurateur Nick Valenti, the former CEO of Patina Restaurant Group." Patina Restaurant Group operates Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs.
The kitchen is run by someone Disney regulars have already eaten from. WDW News Today reported that "Executive Chef Dominique Filoni previously served as Chef de Cuisine at Cítricos in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa" and at Topolino's Terrace, Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort.
The theming leans local rather than corporate. The restaurant's homepage says "Flatlands takes its name from the wide interior plains of Central Florida, where citrus groves, rail depots and small towns once gave rise to a new way of life." WDW News Today describes the building as an old citrus packing facility in style, "complete with weathered brick, red awnings, vintage-style graphics, and a large covered patio," and notes a quotation above the bottles at the bar about treating "Triumph and Disaster" the same.
A Disney Springs name on the dessert menu
The dessert list ends with a name Disney Springs regulars will recognize. Vivoli il Gelato is on it at $5.00, with three scoops at $14.00, and an Affogato is listed at $9.00.

If you are going this week: Set a Resy notification, and confirm the day and the hours by phone at (407) 347-1808 before you drive out, because the site and the preview coverage give different opening days and the site itself gives three different sets of hours. Flamingo Crossings Town Center is primarily reached from Western Way, not from the Disney Springs side of the resort.
