SeaWorld Orlando's Free Beer Starts September 23 for Every Guest 21 and Up, Pass Members Get Two a Day, and the Park Lists It Through October 18

You do not need a SeaWorld pass for this one.

SeaWorld Orlando's free beer comes back Wednesday, September 23, and the park's own event page says it is for "all guests, who are 21 or older." Pass members get a bonus: two free pours a day instead of one.

What the event page adds since we first reported it

When we covered the return on September 7, our only source for the offer was SeaWorld's September pass member news page. It presented the beer as a pass member offer, did not make clear whether "two FREE beers" meant two per visit or two in total, and gave a start date with no end date.

SeaWorld's standalone "Free Beer is Back" event page, last updated September 18 according to the park's sitemap, settles the first two questions, and the site's own events menu answers the third:

  • Who: "Starting September 23, we will be offering all guests, who are 21 or older a free 7oz sample of beer at Waterway Grill Patio for a limited time."
  • How many: "One 7-ounce sample per guest, per day." Pass members "will receive TWO FREE 7-ounce samples, per day."
  • Until when: the event page's own text only says "for a limited time," but the events menu that runs across SeaWorld Orlando's website lists "Beer is Back" as "Select dates, September 23 - October 18."

One small wrinkle: that menu says "select dates," while the event page says the beer is poured "Daily at Waterway Grill Patio." If you are planning a trip around it, the menu's October 18 is the only end date we found anywhere on SeaWorld's site.

How to claim it

Waterway Grill Patio is inside SeaWorld Orlando, so the free beer is for guests already in the park. Head there any time from noon until one hour before the park closes. Bring a valid photo ID, since the terms require it for anyone drinking. The pour is 7 ounces, a little under half a US pint.

The fine print is short. The offer is only at SeaWorld Orlando, is "Not valid with any other discounts," and "is subject to change and may be delayed or canceled during severe weather." SeaWorld also reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to anyone who cannot show proper ID or appears intoxicated.

Happy hour on the same page

The same page lists a daily happy hour that moves around the park: $5 draft beers, $7 house wines and $9 specialty cocktails at Waterway Grill Bar from noon to 2pm, Glacier Bar from 2pm to 4pm and Flamecraft Bar from 4pm to 6pm.

Universal still has not announced the ride, and ParkStop says fan rumors have shifted from a boat ride themed to Creature from the Black Lagoon toward a Bride of Frankenstein indoor coaster.
