Atlantic Dance Hall Has One Public Weekend Left, Then Disney's BoardWalk Nightclub Becomes a Private Events Venue

If Atlantic Dance Hall was on your list, you have three nights left.

Disney's official page for the BoardWalk nightclub now carries a short notice: "Beginning Oct. 1, Atlantic Dance Hall will end its regular weekend operations. Atlantic Dance Hall will continue to be available for private events through Disney Meetings & Events and Disney Fairy Tale Weddings."

In other words, the venue is not closing outright. It is leaving the public calendar. From October 1, the only way in is a private event, booked through either Disney Fairy Tale Weddings or Disney Meetings & Events.

The last public weekend

Disney's notice does not list a final night, but WDW News Today and WDWMagic both put the last regular weekend at Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, open from 8pm to 1am each night. WDWMagic describes those as the club's regular Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

The usual rule still applies: Atlantic Dance Hall is only for guests 21 and older.

What the public is losing

Disney pitches the space as a "stylish nightclub" where guests "dance to hits from the '80s, '90s and today." The page describes an Art Deco ballroom with a ceiling where the stars twinkle over the dance floor, and balconies that look out over Crescent Lake.

Hurly-Burly opens the same day

The timing lines up exactly. Hurly-Burly, the new BoardWalk lounge that WDW News Today places in the former Jellyrolls space and WDWMagic describes as next door, opens on Thursday, October 1, the date Atlantic Dance Hall drops its regular nights.

WDWMagic reports Hurly-Burly will run every day from 4pm until 1am. Afternoons are family-friendly, with games and trivia, and from 9pm it becomes a live music venue for guests 21 and older. It will also have a walk-up window on the promenade. That 1am closing time, WDWMagic points out, is the same late hour Jellyrolls kept until it shut down in April 2025.

So the BoardWalk still has a spot open until 1am after October 1. It is swapping a weekend dance club for a nightly lounge with live music. If you wanted a dance floor, though, WDW News Today and WDWMagic both describe Hurly-Burly as a lounge and neither mentions dancing, so September 27 is your last scheduled public night at Atlantic Dance Hall.

If you are going: Friday, Saturday or Sunday, September 25 to 27, 8pm to 1am, 21 and older only. After that, Atlantic Dance Hall is only open for booked private events.
