Legoland Florida Says a Ticket Can Become a Standard Annual Pass for a Flat $99, the Same Price Passholders Pay to Renew

Had such a good day at Legoland Florida that you are already planning the next one? The resort's help center now puts a simple price on turning that ticket into an annual pass: $99 for the Standard pass.

A Legoland Florida help article titled "Can I upgrade my ticket to a new Annual Pass?" says guests who visited on a valid Legoland Florida Resort ticket have 30 days from that visit to trade it up for a new annual pass. "Upgrade pricing is a flat rate, regardless of how much you paid for your ticket," it reads, and it lists three prices:

• Standard Annual Pass: $99
• Preferred Annual Pass: $139
• Premium Annual Pass: $189

Same numbers as a renewal

Those three figures match Legoland's renewal prices exactly. Legoland's renewals page currently lists $99, $139 and $189 for returning passholders, the same renewal prices we reported when the resort switched to three pass tiers on August 31. That page also runs an offer through October 7 that extends renewed passes through December 31, 2027.

Against the sticker prices on the annual passes page ($179 for Standard, $249 for Preferred and $299 for Premium), the upgrade price is $80 lower for Standard and $110 lower for Preferred and Premium. That is on top of whatever you already spent on the ticket, since the flat rate does not change with what you paid.

What the article used to say

The same help article, under its old title "Can I apply the cost of my ticket towards the price of a NEW Annual Pass?", worked differently in a copy archived by the Wayback Machine in August 2025. Back then, guests who bought a ticket could "receive $100 off one Annual Pass of their choice per purchased ticket," with only one $100 credit per pass and no refund of any ticket amount above the cost of the pass. The 30-day window, the requirement to show your ticket and the rule that upgrades happen in person at the Ticket Window were the same then; the pricing is the big change.

We cannot say exactly when the wording switched from a $100 credit to flat prices. The newest Wayback Machine copy of the article we could find is from August 10, 2025, and the September 17 edit date only tells us when the article was last touched. Legoland introduced the Standard, Preferred and Premium tiers it names on August 31, so the current wording can be no older than that.

The fine print

• Bring the original ticket with you; you will need to show it to upgrade.
• There is no online option. Every upgrade is handled at the Ticket Window.
• Every guest upgrading must be there in person so their pass photo can be taken.
• The window is 30 days from your original visit.

What to know before you go: If there is any chance you will be back within the year, keep your ticket. The help article does not mention the "rest of 2026" promotion running on new pass purchases, and the terms on Legoland's annual passes page say that promotion "cannot be combined with any other discounts, upgrades, or special offers." So do not count on getting it with an upgrade, and ask at the Ticket Window before you pay.
