Coral Reef Restaurant Is Taking EPCOT Reservations From September 29, Five Weeks Earlier Than Its November Date

Good news if your EPCOT trip lands in October: Coral Reef Restaurant looks set to come back early.

Reservations for the EPCOT restaurant are now available starting Tuesday, September 29, WDWMAGIC reported on Saturday. That is 36 days ahead of the November 4 return that Disney's booking system was showing before the restaurant closed on September 8. "Coral Reef Restaurant is reopening ahead of schedule," WDWMAGIC wrote.

The calendar moved, the notice did not

Before Coral Reef closed, Disney's restaurant page gave no return date, while its reservation system was showing availability from November 4.

Now the reservation system has moved up, and the page still has not. As of Saturday, Disney's Coral Reef page still carried the same notice: "Coral Reef Restaurant will be temporarily closed for planned maintenance beginning September 8, 2026, and is expected to reopen later in 2026."

So September 29 is the date you can book, not a date Disney has announced. WDWMAGIC says you can book it now on Disney's website or in the My Disney Experience app.

Three weeks, not eight

If September 29 holds, the restaurant will have been dark for three weeks instead of roughly eight. WDWMAGIC reads the short closure as a sign this was probably not a full refurbishment, and says the timing is consistent with a seasonal or operational closure. Disney has only ever called it "planned maintenance" and has not said what work was done.

WDWMAGIC says nothing has been announced about changes to the menu or hours. Coral Reef has been a dinner-only restaurant since January 4, 2026, open 4pm to 9pm every day.

If you want a table: Check My Disney Experience now for September 29 and later. It is a date the booking system is offering rather than one Disney has announced, so keep an eye on the reservation if your trip is in that first week.
