Sunday Is the Last Day to Ride Fast & Furious: Supercharged, and Inside Universal Says It Will Run During Passholder Nights

The ride Inside Universal calls "polarizing" has less than a week left at Universal Studios Florida. Fast & Furious: Supercharged closes permanently on Monday, August 17, 2026, which makes Sunday, August 16 the last day anyone gets to ride it.

There is a wrinkle in how it ends. Sunday is also the second night of Passholder Nights, the free, reservation only after hours party Universal is throwing for annual passholders at Universal Studios Florida.

The last riders are lined up to be passholders

In its weekly look at the parks published Monday, Inside Universal reported that Universal has confirmed the ride will be running for the passholder event. "Guests who have reserved a spot for Passholder Nights will have the chance to be among the last to ride, as Universal confirmed the attraction will be open for the special event," the site wrote.

Passholder Nights, also known as UOAP Nights, runs Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16. It is reservation only. Universal opened reservations on July 7 after 12 p.m., required Pass ID numbers for the passholder and for up to eight other passholders in the party, limited each passholder to one of the two dates, and required registrants to be 18 or older. The event sits inside Passholder Appreciation Days, the passholder celebration Universal is running from August 15 to September 30. If you were hoping to grab a spot now, you cannot: Inside Universal reports the event is at capacity, that Universal is no longer accepting new reservations, and that there will be no standby line for passholders without one.

So the practical picture is this: if you are a day guest, Sunday during regular park hours is your shot. Passholder Nights is an after hours party, which is why Inside Universal frames the passholders holding reservations as the ones in line to be among the very last to ride.

Why it is closing a year early

Universal originally had Supercharged closing in 2027. Inside Universal noted that the schedule moved up in part because the attraction already goes dark each fall, when its queue is handed over to Halloween Horror Nights, which this fall means Halloween Horror Nights 35.

The ride opened in 2018, bringing the film franchise to Universal Studios Florida as a screen based chase experience. Inside Universal summed up the reception, writing that the attraction "received lukewarm reception from guests and fans, with criticism for its reliance on large screens rather than on something 'Fast' and 'Furious'." The Hollywood original had been part of Universal Studios Hollywood's Studio Tour. The Florida version was an expanded take on it, adding two pre-shows and extra video of the franchise's characters. Hollywood's version closed permanently last year.

What comes next

No replacement for Supercharged has been announced. Elsewhere at Universal Studios Florida, though, the franchise is getting a roller coaster. Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift finished connecting the last sections of its track earlier this month, as we reported on August 3, and that coaster is due to open in 2027. Universal Studios Hollywood has its own Hollywood Drift, and it is further along: Inside Universal reports the Hollywood version has already begun technical rehearsals, better known as soft openings, though Universal Studios Hollywood has not yet announced an official opening date. Take care which one you are reading about.

Worth knowing before you go: Inside Universal's weekly rundown also lists Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands of Adventure closed and scheduled to reopen November 20, 2026, the Horror Make-Up Show listed as closing May 12, 2026 for a reimagining and scheduled to reopen in Winter 2026, and Finnegan's Bar & Grill at Universal Studios Florida closed and scheduled to reopen in Winter 2026. Inside Universal notes that refurbishment dates can change.
