Magic Kingdom's Premier Pass Is Sold Out All Columbus Day Weekend, Hollywood Studios Too, in the First Sellouts Since Easter
Magic Kingdom's Lightning Lane Premier Pass was priced at $399 for today, Monday, October 5. As of Monday afternoon, you cannot buy one. It is sold out, and so is every day of the coming Columbus Day weekend.
WDWMagic and WDW News Today both reported the sellouts on Monday morning, and WDWMagic calls it "the first wave of Premier Pass sell outs since Easter weekend in April." Columbus Day falls on Monday, October 12, and WDW News Today notes this stretch "tends to be one of the busier weeks of the fall season."
What is sold out, park by park
These are the dates showing as sold out on Monday, per WDW News Today and WDWMagic's daily Premier Pass tracker:
- Magic Kingdom: Monday, October 5 (today), Wednesday, October 7, and Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12.
- Hollywood Studios: Friday, October 9 through Monday, October 12.
- EPCOT: Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11. WDWMagic's tracker also showed Monday, October 5 sold out by early Monday afternoon.
- Animal Kingdom: no sold-out dates.
One note on Hollywood Studios: WDWMagic's article lists Tuesday, October 13 among its sold-out days instead of Monday, October 12. WDW News Today lists October 12, and WDWMagic's own tracker, which it says records prices and availability each morning, also showed October 12 sold out and October 13 still on sale at $349 when we viewed it shortly after 1 p.m. Eastern on Monday.

Sold out near the top of the price range
None of this is happening at bargain rates. WDWMagic says Magic Kingdom's Premier Pass "typically runs $379 to $429 over the next four weeks, near the top of its $299 to $449 all-time range," and adds: "Even at these prices, the product is selling out for the entire holiday weekend." The tracker shows what Magic Kingdom's sold-out holiday days were going for before they disappeared: $419 on Friday, October 9 and $429 on each of Saturday, Sunday and Monday. WDW News Today puts October pricing across all four parks at "$159/person to $429/person."
The parks that still have passes over the holiday are charging their top rates. On WDWMagic's tracker, Animal Kingdom's Premier Pass is $199 every day from October 9 through 12, which matches the highest price it has recorded for that park since the current passes launched in July 2024. EPCOT is $249 on Friday, October 9 and Monday, October 12, also its listed all-time high. And Hollywood Studios' $349 on Tuesday, October 13, the same price its four sold-out days carried, is the top of its all-time range as well.
What Premier Pass actually gets you
Disney describes Premier Pass as one-time entry "to each available Lightning Lane experience in one park for one day." Unlike Lightning Lane Multi Pass, there is no picking experiences or arrival windows; Disney's page says that for Premier Pass, "there's no need to choose experiences or arrival windows." Prices "vary by theme park and date," and Disney notes on the same page that "Purchasing is subject to limited quantities."

Heading to the parks this weekend?
If Premier Pass was the plan for Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios between Friday and Monday, that option is gone unless passes come back. WDWMagic's suggestions: check EPCOT if your date is not Saturday or Sunday, book Animal Kingdom's Premier Pass while it is available, or use Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass, where available, instead.
Would you pay $429 for one Lightning Lane trip on every available ride at Magic Kingdom on a holiday weekend, or does a sellout at that price tell you to pick a different week?
