Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party On September 1, 10 Not-So-Scary nights were still on sale. Now it is three: Thursday, September 24 ($174), Tuesday, September 29 ($184) and Sunday, October 25 ($224). Last year the whole season was gone by September 24.
Haunted Mansion The August 30 party went ahead with tickets still on sale, the first night to do that since the sellout streak began in 2022. It landed on the opening weekend of both Halloween Horror Nights and SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular, after days of heavy rain. Ten of the season's 38 nights are still available, topping out at $224.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure Walt Disney World's operational calendar has Magic Kingdom's only log flume closing Monday, November 2, along with Tiana's Bayou General and the Critter Co-Op. It is the ride's first extended closure since it opened in June 2024, and the timing is months earlier than the January or February window water rides usually get.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Dutch coaster manufacturer Vekoma went public on Thursday with its role in Big Thunder Mountain Railroad's 16 month refurbishment, saying it installed a new track and passenger trains at Magic Kingdom. Disney described the same work in May without naming a manufacturer. Vekoma ties the lowered 38 inch height requirement to the new hardware plus a comprehensive safety review, and closes with an argument for revitalizing old rides instead of replacing them.
The Express monorail is playing an updated onboard track, and the courtesy announcement now asks guests not to vape. Tom Kane had voiced the monorail since April 2012, and he died in May. It is not clear how the new recording was made.
Haunted Mansion Fans spent months wondering whether the small structure beside the Haunted Mansion was a bar or lounge. The Piston Peak National Park model at D23 Expo 2026 settles it, and it kills the theory that Villains Land would link straight into the mansion.
