The Diamond Horseshoe Returns This Fall as a Limited Time Small Plates and Cocktail Pop-Up, and Disney Is Pointing Family Style Diners Next Door

The Diamond Horseshoe has been closed to diners since May, and Disney has now said what comes back when it reopens. In a Disney Parks Blog post published Wednesday, Disney said a limited time food and drink pop-up will take over the Liberty Square music hall this fall, and previewed three items: a savory charcuterie board, a margarita, and a lemonade.

What Disney did not say carries just as much weight. The all you care to enjoy family style feast the room has served for years is not part of the announcement. Disney addressed it in a single line, telling guests who love the family style Thanksgiving dinner items that they will still be available next door at Liberty Tree Tavern.

What Disney previewed

The charcuterie board is topped with cured beef, what Disney calls fancy bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar and pickles. Disney's photo fills in the part the copy leaves out: four strips of bacon and one large disc of crisped cheese hang from clips on a metal rack that stands over the board, with sliced meats, cheese wedges, a quenelle of soft cheese topped with a chili ring, cubes of smoked pork and a tin of pickles underneath. Disney says more small plates are coming.

The lemonade is made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, strawberry and hot honey, served with a chili-lime rim, and Disney flagged it as non alcoholic. The margarita is made with LALO Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime and agave. Disney's photo shows it on the rocks in a deep magenta pour, garnished with a dried lime wheel and no salt rim.

One detail Disney's text left out: the drinks already have names. The images Disney published with the post are filed as Cactus Rose Margarita and Enchanting Ember Lemonade. Neither name appears anywhere in the story copy. Menu names can still change before a venue opens, but those are the labels attached to Disney's own art today.

Why the room has been dark

Disney's dining page for the venue still carries the notice it posted in the spring: beginning May 16, 2026, the restaurant would temporarily end table service dining in preparation for Jessie's Roundup during Cool KIDS' SUMMER, with dining service expected to resume in fall 2026. Jessie's Roundup, the Toy Story character party that took the room instead, runs through September 8. The space is not free before then, so fall is the earliest a pop-up could open, and Disney's wording matches.

What it means if you are planning

If you were counting on this room for a family style holiday meal, plan on Liberty Tree Tavern. The two share a kitchen, and Disney has been serving Liberty Tree Tavern dishes at the saloon for years, so the food itself is not going anywhere. The seating is. Disney takes Walt Disney World dining reservations up to 60 days out, so Thanksgiving week at Liberty Tree Tavern does not open for booking until late September, and the pop-up may well have opened by then.

The shape of the meal is what changes. Disney's dining page lists the current one at 35 to 59.99 dollars per adult for lunch and dinner, a fixed price family style feast that runs on advance reservations. What Disney described on Wednesday is the opposite shape: shared small plates, cocktails, and a promise that walk-ups will still be welcomed.

Still unknown: an opening date, prices, the name of the pop-up itself, the full menu, whether reservations will be required, and whether the family style feast returns to the room after the limited time run ends. Disney said reservation details are coming.

Disney Swapped Out the Haunted Mansion's Stretching Room Ceiling After a Dirty Scrim Made the Hanging Corpse Disappear

Cleaning it was not enough. Twelve days after guests looked up in Magic Kingdom's left Stretching Room and could not find the hanging corpse, Disney has replaced the scrim ceiling outright. The new one has shading around the triangle and octagon designs, and the figure is clearly visible again. The right room's scrim, where the corpse stayed visible, has not been replaced.
