Getting a name stitched onto Mickey ears, a hat or a bag at Magic Kingdom's Curtain Call Collectibles just got pricier. At the Main Street, U.S.A. shop, the cheapest embroidery option has gone from $4.99 to $7.99, and the thread color menu has been trimmed as well.

WDW News Today spotted the new prices when it stopped by the Magic Kingdom shop on Wednesday, October 14, and published them alongside photos of the same sign from April 2026. We could not find an announcement from Disney about the change.

The new prices

All three embroidery tiers went up. Here is how the sign compares with April:

  • Basic embroidery: $4.99 to $7.99 for one line, a 60 percent jump
  • Premium embroidery: $7.99 to $9.99 per line
  • Deluxe embroidery: $9.99 to $11.99 per line

The limits printed on the sign did not change. Basic is one line of up to 16 characters. Premium and Deluxe are charged per line, with a maximum of 2 lines of 16 characters each, and Deluxe is available on select items only. That means a two-line Premium job now costs $19.98 instead of $15.98, and a two-line Deluxe job costs $23.98 instead of $19.98.

Fewer thread colors

The color choices changed too. According to WDW News Today, Basic embroidery used to come in white, gold and pink, and now comes in white, gold and black.

Premium is where the bigger cut landed. It used to offer a long list of shades, including cotton candy, bronze and silver. WDW News Today says the list is now down to eight: white, gold, black, green, blue, purple, pink and red.

Part of a pricey October

The embroidery bump lands in a month of price increases at Walt Disney World. We have already covered the character dining price increases and the new Annual Pass prices and quick-service menu increases.

Basic, the single-line option, took both the biggest dollar increase and the biggest percentage jump of the three tiers. Is $7.99 still worth it for a name on your ears, or will you skip the stitching?
