Six Ravens Sets Its Disney Springs Grand Opening for Saturday, October 17, With a Free Collectible Pin for Anyone Who Buys Something

Six Ravens has been open for more than two months. On Saturday it finally gets its party.

The savory Coffyn shop from the team behind Gideon's Bakehouse will hold what it calls a Grand Opening Congregation at Disney Springs on Saturday, October 17, with festivities starting at 10:00am sharp, according to Blog Mickey, which reported the announcement from Six Ravens' Instagram on Tuesday.

What you get for showing up

The pin: every guest who makes a purchase on Saturday receives a collectible pin. In Six Ravens' photo it is a gold shield with a crowned raven and six stars, which Blog Mickey says appears to match the crowned raven crest on the front of the building, set on a red and black checkered card.

Early-bird extras: Six Ravens says more treasures are waiting for early guests, but only while supplies last. If you want those, plan to be there close to 10:00am.

The crown mystery: Six Ravens also teases a regal crown for guests of "noble spirit." Blog Mickey's summary pairs the crown with the pin for buyers, but the same report notes that Six Ravens has not said what the crown actually is or what guests have to do to get one. More details are due before Saturday, according to Six Ravens.

Where it is, and how we got here

Six Ravens sits in The Landing at Disney Springs, in the former Art of Shaving space a few steps from Gideon's Bakehouse. It has been a long road. Gideon's announced the spinoff in January, the July 20 opening that Disney's own website hours pointed to came and went with the doors still shut (we covered the delay), and the shop finally soft opened on Monday, August 3, with a virtual queue that first day (our soft-opening preview). By the next day, Blog Mickey reported, crowds had thinned and the virtual queue, though still running, was not really necessary.

If you have not been yet

The menu is built around the Coffyn, a stuffed yeast roll served with its own dipping sauce. Blog Mickey's soft-opening favorites were the Peasant's Patty, a cheeseburger Coffyn with a Pink Salamander dipping sauce, and the Tale Teller Tatties, baked smashed potatoes with honey mustard. Saturday is as good an excuse as any to try them, and you walk away with a pin.
