Magic Kingdom's Lightning Lane Premier Pass Is Hitting $299 on Two August Dates, the Lowest It Has Ever Been Priced

The most expensive Lightning Lane add-on at Walt Disney World just posted the cheapest price in its history, and only two dates in WDWMagic's current pricing window carry it.

Pricing tracked by WDWMagic puts Magic Kingdom's Lightning Lane Premier Pass at $299 per person on Sunday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 25. That undercuts a floor of $329 that had held since October 30, 2024, and it will be the first time the Magic Kingdom version of the pass has gone under $329 since it first went on sale.

For scale: Magic Kingdom's ceiling for this pass has been $449, hit on November 28, 2024, and the tracker puts today's price at $379. That leaves the August 23 and 25 dates $80 under today and $150 under the record high.

There is a catch, and it is a big one

Both of those dates are Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights. Disney's official 2026 party calendar lists August 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30, so the 23rd and the 25th are both on it. Inside the Magic notes that on party nights, guests without a party ticket have to be out of Magic Kingdom by 6 p.m., before the event begins. Disney says party ticket holders can get in as early as 4 p.m. and that the event itself starts at 7 p.m., giving them up to eight hours in the park.

So you are not buying a full day of unlimited Lightning Lane. You are buying a day that ends at six.

Inside the Magic gives two reasons for the drop and puts the party night first. On our reading of WDWMagic's chart, though, the party night cannot be the whole story, because every August party night in the chart's window carries that same shortened day and only two of them come in at $299. The 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th and 21st all sit at $359, and $359 turns up on ordinary non-party days too, including August 9, 20 and 24. Only the 23rd and the 25th fall to $299, which points at the calendar as much as the clock. That fits Inside the Magic's second reason: it describes late August as a traditionally slow stretch for Disney World, with the return of the school year among the causes it cites for softer attendance.

How the four parks compare right now

Magic Kingdom is still the priciest park for Premier Pass, and even at its record low it stays above what the other three are charging today. Here is where each park sat on Tuesday, August 4, alongside the cheapest each has ever been, per WDWMagic's tracker:

• Magic Kingdom: $379 today, new all-time low of $299
• Disney's Hollywood Studios: $289 today, all-time low $249
• EPCOT: $189 today, all-time low $149
• Disney's Animal Kingdom: $159 today, all-time low $119

Put another way, a record-cheap day at Magic Kingdom still costs more than a regular Tuesday at any of the other three parks.

What $299 actually buys

Premier Pass covers every Lightning Lane selection at one park for the day, and it folds in the headliners that Disney otherwise sells one at a time as Lightning Lane Single Pass. At Magic Kingdom that means TRON Lightcycle / Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train come in the box rather than as separate line items.

Worth being clear-eyed about the math, though. The $299 is on top of park admission, and it is per person, not per party, so a family of four is looking at roughly $1,200 before anybody has bought a churro. Premier Pass can also sell out, though Inside the Magic ties those sell-outs to busy stretches like spring break, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Late August is not on that list.

If you were already eyeing a late-August Magic Kingdom day and you were going to buy Premier Pass anyway, this is the cheapest Disney has ever priced it at Magic Kingdom. Just go in knowing the park is showing day guests the door by 6 p.m.
