The Great LEGO Race and Kid Power Towers Both Close September 8, Three Days After Brick or Treat Opens at Legoland Florida

Brick or Treat opens on September 5. Three days later, two of the theme park's rides and one at Peppa Pig Theme Park go dark, and one of them is still down for at least part of Brick or Treat's first October weekend.

Legoland Florida's official Temporary Closures page now lists three closures that all start on the same day, September 8:

What the closures cover

Brick or Treat is included with regular tickets and select passes and runs select dates from September 5 through October 31. In September the event runs on the 5th, 6th, 12th, 19th and 26th. The Great LEGO Race closure runs September 8 to October 2, so it takes out three of those five dates. Kid Power Towers is listed 9/8 to 10/4, which covers October 3, the event's first October date. Whether it also covers October 4 depends on whether Legoland treats the second date in a listed range as the last closed day or the day the ride returns, and the page does not say.

The Great LEGO Race is one of five coasters Legoland lists for the theme park, alongside Galacticoaster, Coastersaurus, The Dragon and Mia's Riding Adventure. Two of those, Galacticoaster and The Dragon, get Halloween overlays for the event, so coaster options on an event night are not thin. Kid Power Towers is a different loss: Legoland's own ride page calls it a manual ride that lets kids pull themselves up the tower, and notes the two minute cycle lets them climb again as many times as they want.

What else is on the closure list

The same page also carries closures already underway, all of which reopen in time for Brick or Treat's opening weekend:

  • Imagination Zone, 8/17 to 9/4
  • Deli Takeover, 8/17 to 9/4
  • Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster at Peppa Pig Theme Park, 8/10 to 9/4

And Pirate River Quest is still sitting on the list with no dates beside it at all. The closure began on August 4, 2025, which the page itself said at the time, and the entry has since been stripped back to the ride name with no dates.

Both the water park and the resort's hotels are listed as "All attractions open."

The usual caveat

Legoland's own note on the page is worth repeating: "Additional attractions may be closed without notice. This page highlights scheduled closures at LEGOLAND Florida Resort." Posted dates have moved before at this park, in both directions. Legoland's press room carries no releases at all, only media contacts, so the closures page is the only public notice we can find.

If you are booking a Brick or Treat night in September and the coaster matters to your group, September 5 and 6, the opening weekend, are the only September event dates with The Great LEGO Race running.
