Pin Tuesday Starting June 2: No Overnight Queueing Allowed
Disney Springs confirmed via social media this week that parking garages and rideshare loops will not open until 7 a.m. on Pin Tuesday and other merchandise-event days, beginning Tuesday, June 2. Guests arriving before 7 a.m. will be asked to leave and return when the garages open. The rule covers Disney Springs' Orange, Lime, and Grapefruit garages plus the Watermelon, Strawberry, and Mango surface lots.

The headlines:
- First event under the new rule: Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The change takes effect with the June 2 event.
- Garages and rideshare loops open at 7 a.m. on event days. Guests arriving earlier will be asked to leave and return at 7 a.m.
- All Disney Springs garages are covered: Orange, Lime, and Grapefruit, plus the Watermelon, Strawberry, and Mango surface lots.
- Applies to Pin Tuesday and other merchandise-event days, not only the pin drops. Disney has not enumerated which other events qualify.
What changed and why
Disney Springs has been managing growing overnight crowds for the weekly Pin Tuesday merchandise releases. The 7 a.m. opening time is enforced through entry denial: cars and rideshares that arrive before 7 a.m. will be turned away and asked to come back. The Disney Food Blog and AllEars both characterize the change as Disney's response to overnight Pin Tuesday crowding. BlogMickey and WDW News Today have reported on the change as well; we have not independently verified the additional operational details in those reports.
What this means if you're a Pin Tuesday regular
- Arrive after 7 a.m. on event day. Earlier arrivals will not be able to enter the parking garages or rideshare loops.
- Rideshare timing matters. Rideshare drop-off is subject to the same 7 a.m. opening, so an Uber at 6:30 a.m. will not get you inside.
- If you're traveling from off-property, build the 7 a.m. opening into your departure time. Earlier arrivals at hotels nearby will not gain a queueing advantage.
- Day-of mechanics are still settling. The official Disney Springs social post covered the 7 a.m. opening; outlets including BlogMickey and WDW News Today have reported additional operational details we have not independently verified.
The bigger context
Pin Tuesday has grown from a niche collector event into a logistical concern that affects general Disney Springs guests on overnight Mondays. A 7 a.m. hard opening with entry denial is the most clear-cut enforcement mechanism Disney Springs has publicly tried for these events. It is also a useful signal for the rest of the resort: if overnight-queueing pressure builds elsewhere, the timed-opening template is a ready-made playbook.
Quick planner notes
- The first event under the new rules is Tuesday, June 2. Anyone arriving Monday night June 1 will be asked to leave and return at 7 a.m.
- Bring your own water and snacks if you're going. A 7 a.m. arrival plus a typical Pin Tuesday wait still puts you waiting outside before Disney Springs opens for the day.
- The rules apply across Disney Springs merchandise events, not only Pin Tuesday. If a limited-release shoe drop or Loungefly drop appears on the calendar, expect the same 7 a.m. opening template.
