The Green Stripe, the Red Vine and the White Top are gone. Blaze Pizza at Disney Springs has thrown out its entire signature pizza lineup, and the pies that replaced them cost more.

Every old signature pizza was $11.95. The new ones start at $13.50, a jump of $1.55, and two of them go higher still. The changes were spotted on October 14, according to WDWMagic, and WDW News Today published the updated menu on October 15.

The new signature pizzas

  • Margherita, $13.50: red sauce, fresh mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and basil, finished with olive oil
  • Carnivore, $13.50: pepperoni, Canadian ham and crumbled meatball over red sauce and mozzarella, with a balsamic glaze on top
  • Meatball Pie, $13.50: red sauce, mozzarella and dollops of ricotta
  • Blazed BBQ, $13.50: roasted chicken, red onions and pickled jalapeños on a BBQ sauce and mozzarella base, topped with ranch
  • Four Cheese, $13.50: red sauce, mozzarella, ovalini mozzarella, ricotta and parmesan, finished with olive oil
  • Herbivore, $13.50: mushrooms, roasted garlic, banana peppers and cherry tomatoes over spicy red sauce and mozzarella, topped with arugula and a drizzle of olive oil
  • Vegan Pizza, $15.50: vegan cheese and vegan spicy chorizo over red sauce, with mushrooms, green bell peppers, red onions and basil, plus an olive oil drizzle
  • Vegetarian Pizza, $16.58: a cauliflower crust topped with red sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, spinach, artichokes, red onions and black olives

Out go the Art Lover, BBQ Chkn, Green Stripe, Hot Link, Meat Eater, Red Vine, Veg Out and White Top.

Build your own costs more too

Three of the four build-your-own options went up:

  • Build Your Own Pizza (any toppings): $11.95 to $13.50
  • Build Your Own 2 Top Pizza: $10.95 to $11.95
  • Build Your Own 1 Top Pizza: $9.95 to $11.50

The one listed without an increase is the Build Your Own Simple Pie (mozzarella, parmesan and red sauce) at $7.95, now $3.55 less than the next-cheapest pizza on the reported menu, the $11.50 1 Top. Crust swaps cost extra on any build-your-own pie: $3.00 for gluten-free dough, $3.50 for high-rise dough and $4.00 for cauliflower crust.

Notice anything about the 1 Top Pizza? At $11.50, a single-topping pie now costs only 45 cents less than a 2 Top. Under the old prices the gap was a full dollar.

Sides, salads and desserts

  • Cheesy Bread: up from $8.25 to $9.50. The Pesto Garlic Cheesy Bread is gone.
  • Salads: the Simple Salad and Citrus Berry Salad are out. In their place are a $9.95 Side Salad and a $12.50 Entree Salad.
  • Desserts: the menu now features Bookies ($3.25), Cinnamon Bread ($5.50), Smore's Pie ($3.50) and Applesauce ($1.80).

Part of a pattern

WDWMagic noted why the change matters: "Blaze has long been one of the more affordable dining options at Disney Springs, making the increases worth noting if you're planning a visit."

As WDW News Today pointed out, it comes amid other Walt Disney World price increases. Earlier this month we covered higher prices at 15 character, buffet and prix fixe restaurants, including a $92 lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table.

So, which do you miss more: the Green Stripe or the old $11.95 price tag? And is the $7.95 Simple Pie your new Disney Springs move?
