Buying SeaWorld Orlando's All-Day Dining Deal on its own just got $5 pricier per person.

The park's All-Day Dining Deal now sells for $64.99 for adults (ages 10 and up) and $34.99 for children (ages 3 to 9) on SeaWorld's website. Until this month, the same add-on was $59.99 and $29.99.

Old price vs. new price

  • Adult (ages 10+): $59.99 to $64.99, up $5 (about 8%)
  • Child (ages 3-9): $29.99 to $34.99, up $5 (about 17%)
  • Family of two adults and two kids: $179.96 to $199.96, up $20

When it changed

We did not find an announcement. Archived copies of SeaWorld's upgrades page from September 17 and from the morning of October 9 still list the Dining Deal at $59.99 for adults and $29.99 for children. The live upgrades page and the Dining Deal's own page now show $64.99 and $34.99, and SeaWorld's sitemap records the Dining Deal page as last updated on the afternoon of October 9 (Eastern time). That points to October 9 as the likely date of the change.

What you get for the money

Nothing about the deal itself appears to have changed. You get a wristband good for one trip through a participating restaurant's line "once every 90 minutes for one day," from opening until the park's published closing time. On each visit, an adult gets:

  • one entrée
  • one side or dessert
  • one soft drink or iced tea

The child plan is one kid's meal per visit. The deal's terms name eight participating restaurants: Voyager's Smokehouse, Expedition Café, Captain Pete's Island Hot Dogs, Seafire Grill, Lakeside Grill, Altitude Burger, Panini Shore Café and Waterway Grill. The same page's list of participating locations also shows Dockside Pizza Co., so confirm in the park if pizza is your plan.

The deal does not cover Dine with Orcas, Sharks Underwater Grill, character dining or Chick-Fil-A. Alcohol, souvenir items and water bottles are excluded too. Park admission is not included, and SeaWorld notes that the online price is not available at the park.

For adults, the ticket bundle is the better deal

SeaWorld's Limited-Time Offers page tells a different story. A single-day ticket there starts at $59.99, and a single-day "Ticket + All-Day Dining" starts at $99.99, both for ages 3 and up. The page's own pitch is "Add All-Day Dining for $40 and eat all day during your visit."

For anyone 10 or older, who pays the adult Dining Deal price, that $40 is $24.99 less than buying the $64.99 Dining Deal on its own. For a child, the math goes the other way: the bundle's $40 for dining is $5.01 more than the $34.99 kids' plan. So if you are buying single-day tickets online anyway, guests 10 and up may want the bundle, and kids ages 3 to 9 may come out ahead on a plain ticket plus the separate child Dining Deal. Ticket prices are date specific, so check your own date before you buy. Two catches: the bundled dining wristband is good only on your ticket date (the standalone Dining Deal's terms say its voucher must be redeemed within a year of purchase, though its online buy button reads "Select Date," so check what you are buying), and these online single-day tickets, with or without dining, are limited to residents of the US, Puerto Rico and Canada.

This follows a round of ticket price increases we covered earlier this week, when SeaWorld's four-park ticket rose to $249.99 and its multi-day dining bundles went up as well.

Is the Dining Deal still worth it to you at $64.99, or are you more of a one-big-meal-a-day family?
