Disney Springs picks up a major new tenant today: Level99, the Massachusetts-based "Players Club" of timed challenge rooms, opens its fourth and biggest location on the West Side, in the old NBA Experience / DisneyQuest space. Monday, June 29, 2026 is opening day, and the first 500 Players through the door get a commemorative pin.

The headlines:

  • Opening: Monday, June 29, 2026.
  • Where: Disney Springs West Side, next to Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil, across from House of Blues. Replaces the former NBA Experience / DisneyQuest space.
  • Size: 46,800 square feet across two floors.
  • Games: 63 challenge rooms / mini-games (the most of any Level99 location).
  • Art: 40 plus original art installations.
  • Tracking: Player progress logged via RFID "Veloband" wristbands, transferable across all Level99 venues.
  • Food and drink: Two-story bar, handcrafted cocktails, local beers on tap, Detroit-style pizza, wagyu burgers.
  • Opening-day perk: First 500 Players through the door get a commemorative pin at entry.

How it actually works

The Level99 model is closer to escape rooms than to an arcade. Players get a Veloband wristband at check-in, then move through a venue of standalone challenge rooms each themed around a physical or mental task (laser mazes, axe games, ninja swings, balance puzzles, banquet-table riddles, and so on). Each room scores the attempt to the band, so a group can rotate through whichever rooms they want and compare scores at the end. Featured games at the Disney Springs venue per Disney: Axe Run, Ninja Swing, and Mansion Banquet.

This is the fourth Level99 location since the company launched in 2021, and at 46,800 square feet it is the biggest. Games are designed and built at Level99's production facility in Massachusetts.

Tickets and pricing

  • 1.5-hour ticket: starting at $29.99 per player.
  • 2.5-hour ticket: starting at $39.99 per player.
  • Premium Pass upgrade: +$19.99 per person.

Ticket sales opened on Level99.com on June 22.

What the people behind it said

Matt DuPlessie, Level99 Founder and CEO, in the Level99 press release: "We're thrilled to bring Level99 to Walt Disney World Resort and share it with the millions of visitors who come to Orlando each year. As a company founded on innovation and groundbreaking themed entertainment, it is a natural fit to now be at a place built on those very same ideals. We can't wait to welcome our first Players."

Debbie Hart, Vice President, Disney Springs: "We know our guests love the variety of experiences here at Disney Springs and Level99 is a perfect addition to make even more fun memories with friends and family. We have over 150 ways to shop, dine and play and Level99 is adding to the experience in a big way."

Operating hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Quick planner notes

  • If you want the opening-day pin, get to Disney Springs early on June 29. First 500 Players through the door.
  • The venue is on the Disney Springs West Side, the same end as House of Blues and Cirque du Soleil's Drawn to Life. Easiest parking is the Lime Garage.
  • The Veloband transfers across Level99 venues, so if you've played at the Natick, Providence, or Tysons locations, your profile carries over.
  • You do not need a Disney park ticket to visit Disney Springs or Level99. Parking is free.

Disney's Wilderness Lodge Battles a Days-Long AC Outage During a Central Florida Heat Wave

A stay at one of Walt Disney World's flagship Deluxe resorts is not supposed to come with a box fan, but that has been the reality for some guests at Disney's Wilderness Lodge this week. The main building's central air conditioning has been down since Thursday, June 18, just as Central Florida sweltered under back-to-back heat advisories with feels-like temperatures topping 105 degrees. By Monday, June 22, Disney had trucked in temporary chillers and portable spot coolers and many guest rooms had cooled back down, though the Grand Lobby and some interior spaces stayed warm, and the central system was not yet fully restored. Disney has not commented publicly.

Universal Files Permits for a 71,500-Square-Foot Building in Epic Universe's Dark Universe

Universal Files Permits for a 71,500-Square-Foot Building in Epic Universe's Dark Universe

Something big is taking shape in the spookiest corner of Epic Universe. A new permit filing points to a building of roughly 71,500 square feet planned for the heart of Darkmoor Village, the classic-monsters town inside the park's Dark Universe world, with Stantec Architecture listed on the paperwork. That footprint is on par with full attractions at Epic Universe, like the Mario Kart ride and the Untrainable Dragon show, so this is no gift shop. Universal will only say that permit filings are routine and that it has no further details to share, which leaves the fun question wide open: a new monster ride, a theater, or something else entirely?
