Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida Has Just Three Days Left Before September 26 With Both Its Coaster and Its High Striker Open
If you are taking a small person to Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida between now and September 26, the closures page leaves exactly three days when both the park's only roller coaster and its High Striker are open, and they are September 5, 6 and 7.
Neither closure was separately announced. Both are listed where scheduled closures normally go, on Legoland Florida Resort's temporary closures page, which covers the Legoland park, the water park, Peppa Pig Theme Park and the resort hotels. The same list is published on the Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida site.
What the page says
Under the heading "The following offerings are scheduled to be temporarily closed at Peppa Pig Theme Park" there are two lines and nothing else:
- Daddy Pigs Roller Coaster (8/10 - 9/4), spelled without the apostrophe in Legoland's own copy
- Mr. Bull's High Striker (9/8 - 9/25)
Run those windows against a calendar and they nearly interlock. From August 10 through September 25, a 47 day stretch, at least one of the two is scheduled to be down every single day except September 5, 6 and 7. That is the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend.
Why these two rides matter more than the count suggests
Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster is the only coaster at Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida. It is listed as closed from August 10 through September 4, which puts its scheduled return on September 5. Image: Legoland Florida Resort.
Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida lists 17 rides and attractions, and exactly one of them is a roller coaster. Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster is it, and the ride page pitches it as a "my first rollercoaster" experience, so there is no substitute inside the Peppa Pig gates. The park's own ride page has Daddy Pig driving "his newly cleaned red car" while "Mr. Bull is digging up the road."
Mr. Bull's High Striker lifts a single row of riders up a fairground striker column toward a bullseye target disc. It is scheduled down from September 8 through September 25. Image: Legoland Florida Resort.
Mr. Bull's High Striker is the park's family drop tower, pitched as a hammer and bell ride where, in the ride page's words, "Once the hammer hits the bell on Mr. Bull's High Striker, you and your family will lift straight up to the sky." Mr. Bull's High Striker sits in the Fun Fair, which the park's own Fun Fair page describes as a fairground of free games where guests can also "ride to the sky with Peppa Pig in Miss Rabbit's hot air balloon". The rides index lists that balloon as Peppa Pig's Balloon Ride, and it is the only other ride tagged to the Fun Fair. Daddy Pig's Roller Coaster is not tagged to the Fun Fair on that index, and carries only the general park tag.
What is closed on the Legoland side
The same page lists five closures at the Legoland theme park: Pirate River Quest, the Imagination Zone (8/17 to 9/4), Deli Takeover (8/17 to 9/4), The Great LEGO Race (9/8 to 10/2) and Kid Power Towers (9/8 to 10/4). Pirate River Quest is the only one of the five with no dates attached at all.
Both the water park and the resort hotels are listed as "All attractions open."
The usual caveat applies, in Legoland's wording: "Additional attractions may be closed without notice."
