SeaWorld Orlando Posted Its September Pass Member Perks Early, and Pass Members Get a Free Guest Ticket Good All Month

SeaWorld Orlando's September pass member page carries a September 1 dateline. It went up four days early, while the site's own navigation still points at the August edition.

SeaWorld leads the page with a free bonus guest ticket, good any operating day of the month.

The free guest ticket

The page says pass members "can enjoy a FREE bonus guest ticket to use any operating day from September 1-30." The fine print narrows it in a few useful ways:

  • One free guest ticket per pass member, usable any operating day until September 30, 2026
  • The guest is only admitted while the member is in the park too
  • Redeemable only through the Pass Member online portal or at self-service ticket kiosks, September 1 to 30
  • Valid at SeaWorld Orlando only, and parking is not included
  • Available to active Bronze, Silver, Gold and Florida Platinum pass members, and not valid for the Fun Card, Florida Teacher Card, Preschool Card, Friends & Family Pass or Transferable Pass

August had free guest tickets too, but in short bursts: two per annual pass member for August 1 to 9, then two more for August 10 to 16, each covering one day's admission to whichever of Aquatica or SeaWorld Orlando was the park of membership, with a one ticket version for Fun Card holders. September is fewer tickets over a longer window. One ticket, SeaWorld Orlando only, usable any operating day of the month.

The Pass Member Picnic on September 20

The picnic runs Sunday, September 20, from 12 to 4 p.m. at Ports of Call. SeaWorld describes it as "an All-American picnic featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, chef salad, macaroni salad, pit beans, and assorted cupcakes and cookies."

It is $10 per ticket bought online through the Pass Member portal or ID.me up until the day before, or $15 the day of, at Ports of Call and subject to capacity. There is a limit of seven tickets per member, military members can buy in, and park admission and parking are required but not included. There is no re-entry.

The Halloween items

Only one of September's offers carries Howl-O-Scream branding, and it is a short window. From September 11 to 13, Expedition Odyssey Gifts is giving Platinum pass members a monster hand phone holder, free, on Howl-O-Scream event nights and only for as long as stock holds. It is one per visiting Platinum member, and the member has to be there to collect it. Howl-O-Scream itself is separately ticketed, and event admission is required but not included.

Separately, a pass member exclusive Spooktacular trick-or-treat bag will sell for $3.99 plus any pass discount. SeaWorld has not filled in a start date: the page reads "available soon" and then runs the window to October 31, while supplies last. It will be stocked at The SeaWorld Store, Stroller Rental, Trek Gifts, Coconut Bay Traders and Currents at Waterfront.

The rest of the September list

  • One free refill, September 7 to 13, in a reusable soda cup or a refillable popcorn bucket. What is free is the refill, not the vessel.
  • A free feeding tray, September 1 to 30, for participating feeding locations. The voucher prints at a self-service kiosk and has to be used the same day.
  • Six exclusive face painting designs at $20 each at the Mako face painting location, September 1 to 30: dolphin, shark, turtle, penguin, orca or stingray. Each takes about 3 to 5 minutes, with free touch-ups through the day. Preschool Card holders are included.
  • Platinum only: another $10 comes off a single merchandise transaction totaling at least $50, on a voucher printed at an in-park self-service kiosk September 1 to 30. It is good at one park of membership each month, excludes specialty merchandise, games, face painting, caricatures, antique photos and rental products, and cannot be combined with SeaWorld Bucks or any other merchandise offer.
  • Platinum only: a double discount, which the fine print puts at 20 percent off, on one food or beverage purchase per month at one park of membership. Not valid at the water parks, and it excludes All-Day Dining, Drink All Day, specialty dines, alcohol, samples and sample lanyards.
  • The September pass member pin features a manatee, and the quarterly mug features a sea turtle.
  • Up to 20 percent off a Walrus Encounter at Sea Lion and Otter Stadium when booked through the Pass Member portal.

One line on the page has nothing to match it

The intro paragraph promises "a special Pass Member Picnic, a FREE Guest Ticket, complimentary refills, FREE Quick Queue Unlimited and more." Every one of those has a section on the page except the Quick Queue. August did carry a section headed Free Quick Queue Unlimited After 4 P.M., running August 17 to 28, which is the likeliest origin of the leftover phrase. The only Quick Queue reference in September's disclaimer block sits under a Passport to Screams heading, and it is the free one-time Quick Queue that excludes the I Know What You Did Last Summer house. That is the August 24 to 30 reward in a program whose collecting window runs through August 30, and members who pick it up can use it on any Howl-O-Scream event night from September 11 to October 31, which is likely why the exclusion is still printed on the September page.

The Unlimited version reads like copy carried over from last month rather than a new September benefit, so treat that item as unconfirmed until SeaWorld either adds a section for it or takes the line down.

Disney Named Monstropolis' Main Street Dark Avenue, and Imagineers Say Piston Peak Buildings Were Shortened After a Balloon Test Came Back Too High

Walt Disney Imagineering put out a new We Call It Imagineering episode on Friday, a 24-minute architecture tour that stops in on four Walt Disney World projects. The headline is a name nobody had heard before: Dark Avenue, the main street running through Monstropolis to the Monsters, Inc. factory that will house the suspended door coaster. The same episode explains what balloons like the one we wrote about on August 12 are for. Imagineers say the first Piston Peak sightline test showed some elevations were a little too high, and structures were shortened before a second test came back right on the money.

SeaWorld named the Howl-O-Scream 2026 food and drink lineup on August 26, including a Tripleta Sandwich, the Eggo Massacre, a Highway Havoc Bacon Mac and Cheese Dog, beef birria ramen and seven specialty cocktails. Tasting cards photographed at the August 20 media preview name six more dishes no outlet has named in prose, among them a Cricket Tres Leches, an Intestine Cinnamon Roll, and a card SeaWorld printed as Pizza Roles. Meanwhile the park's own Taste the Terror page still reads Information Coming Soon, and its menu page is still serving 2024.
