Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Opens Tonight, and Four of Its Six Free Treats Weren't on Last Year's List

If you mapped out your Very Merry night around last year's cookies, check the new list before you go. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party opens tonight, Sunday, November 8, at Magic Kingdom, and the 2026 free treat list in the My Disney Experience app has been heavily reshuffled since 2025.

Blog Mickey compared the two lineups and found that "four of the six treats are new, and buttercream frosting shows up on three of them." Two returning treats have also changed locations. And the top two picks from Blog Mickey's 2025 ranking, the Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookie at Gaston's and the Buttercream-Frosted Chocolate Chip Cookie at Cosmic Ray's, are missing from this year's list.

The 2026 free treats, by location

Every party ticket includes the treats below, along with holiday drinks at the same six stops. Disney notes the offerings are subject to change without notice.

The two holdovers have both moved. The Hot Cocoa Cookie, which was at Tortuga Tavern last year, is now at Sunshine Tree Terrace, and the Snowman-shaped Pretzel has gone from the Storybook Circus Train Station to Gaston's Tavern. That makes Gaston's the one cookie-free stop on both the regular and the allergy-friendly lists, with a pretzel on each.

Disney's 2026 list does not say which free drinks will be served. Last year's lineup, according to Blog Mickey, was hot cocoa, apple cider, eggnog and fruit punch, varying by stop.

Allergy-friendly treats

Each of the six stops also has an allergy-friendly option, which Disney describes, according to Blog Mickey, as "friendly for egg, fish, milk, peanut, sesame, shellfish, soy, tree nut, and wheat allergies and gluten." Ask the cast member at the counter:

  • Sunshine Tree Terrace: Double Chocolate Cookie
  • Tortuga Tavern: Chocolate Mint Mini Cookies
  • Gaston's Tavern: Pretzel Twists
  • Storybook Circus Train Station: Chocolate Chip Cookie
  • Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe: Vanilla Mini Cookies
  • The Lunching Pad: Ginger Cookie

That list moved around as well. Blog Mickey says the Vanilla Mini Cookies at Cosmic Ray's are the only allergy-friendly item in the same spot as 2025. Tortuga Tavern took over the Chocolate Mint Mini Cookies from The Lunching Pad, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie left Gaston's Tavern for the Storybook Circus Train Station.

The ornament, wristbands and photos

Keepsake ornament: every party ticket includes one, available at check-in. This year's artwork puts Mickey Mouse at the controls of a red and gold train, with two elves stacking presents in the car behind him.

Already in the park? WDWMagic lists three in-park wristband pickup spots: near Tortuga Tavern, at Mickey's PhilHarMagic and at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

New photo spots: WDWMagic lists a new Holiday Photo Card Opportunity Presented by Shutterfly in Liberty Square, set up at the gazebo behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, plus two new PhotoPass offerings on Main Street, U.S.A.: Olaf Holiday and Holiday Mickey and Minnie.

New costumes, too (probably)

Party cast members may look different this year as well. A cast member posted a new party costume on TikTok ahead of opening night: a red apron over a red long-sleeved shirt with a holiday print and a dark green bow at the collar. WDWMagic reports the new costumes debut tonight, while WDW News Today notes that "Disney has still not confirmed new costumes" for the party. It follows a change to the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party cast costumes earlier this year.

Very Merry continues on select nights until December 22. For the full plan, see our Very Merry showtimes and night plan, and our rundown of the party menu for everything that costs extra.

Which stop is first on your route this year, the new Snickerdoodle or the returning Hot Cocoa Cookie?
