Lakeshore Lodge's First Wave Preview Is Fully Booked, and Disney Is Telling DVC Members Not to Make Plans Around the Waitlist

The first paying guests at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge are already decided, and Disney is telling everyone else not to count on a spot. The Disney Vacation Club page for the Member "First Wave" Experience now opens with this: "The First Wave experience at Disney's Lakeshore Lodge is fully booked, and we're grateful for the incredible response from Members."

The very next lines are blunt about the waitlist. Member Services will keep taking waitlist requests, but "any additional availability is expected to be extremely limited." Then: "Members are encouraged not to make plans around the possibility of attending this experience." And for anyone already on the list, "there is no need to check back," because Member Services will contact you directly if a spot opens up.

Phones opened at 10 a.m., and it was reportedly gone by noon

The First Wave went on sale at 10 a.m. Eastern on Saturday, November 7, and only by phone through DVC Member Services. Laughing Place reported that, "based on social media responses, the experience sold out in about two hours." Inside the Magic reported the same two-hour window.

Members who missed out described a morning of redialing and hold music. One wrote on X: "After over 400+ calls over 2 hours, looks like I missed out." Another said, "The phone was playing music for almost 2 hours and it just stopped."

Disney had warned it would be busy. Pirates & Princesses, citing Disney Tourist Blog, quoted the booking page: "Due to the popularity of this Member-exclusive experience, you may experience longer-than-usual wait times."

What sold out

We covered the package when Disney announced it in August. The short version: a four-day, three-night, Member-exclusive stay from June 24 through 27, 2027, ahead of the resort's official opening on July 1, 2027. Disney's page promises "theme park tickets, delectable dining, special insights about the Resort hotel and commemorative keepsakes."

Pirates & Princesses lists the details: three-day Park Hopper tickets for everyone 3 and older, dinners at Moonglade and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, breakfast at Pioneer Hall, and a $200 Disney Dining Promo Card for each guest 3 and up. The stay was priced from 184 to 532 points for the first two guests in a room.

Not every DVC owner was eligible to try. The experience was limited to members eligible for Membership Extras, which Disney's fine print ties to a membership of at least 150 Vacation Points bought directly from Disney. Pirates & Princesses, citing Disney Tourist Blog and Resorts Gal, adds that each membership could book up to two rooms.

If you still want in

Disney's booking section now reads: "At this time, the Member 'First Wave' Experience is sold out." Members can still join the waitlist by calling Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or (407) 566-3800, with the caveats above.

For everyone else, the resort itself is not sold out. Regular reservations are open for stays from July 1, 2027, opening night included, according to Laughing Place. We broke down the cash rates last month, and they start at $512 a night.

Did you get through on the phones, or are you waiting until July 1 like the rest of us?
