About this Hotel

Upcoming Disney Vacation Club resort under construction on the shores of Bay Lake at the former River Country site next to Fort Wilderness. Disney says it will hold 967 rooms and villas, from studios to multi bedroom villas plus new one and two bedroom Lake Houses, themed to nature's influence on Disney animation such as Bambi, Brother Bear and Pocahontas. Planned amenities include The Wetlands pool area with a lazy river nodding to River Country.

Imagineering Filmed Itself Behind the Lakeshore Lodge Construction Walls, and the Next Pardon Our Pixie Dust Hits YouTube on August 25

Walt Disney Imagineering posted a short clip from inside the Lakeshore Lodge site on Tuesday, showing a large wooden-like structure next to a water slide before an Imagineer shooed the camera away. The full episode of Pardon Our Pixie Dust premieres August 25, and it should be a closer look at The Wetlands, the pool and play complex anchoring the Bay Lake resort ahead of its summer 2027 opening.
