Universal Launches an Official Halloween Horror Nights Podcast That Promises to Keep Going After HHN 35 Ends
Halloween Horror Nights 35 has its final night on Sunday, November 1. Universal says the HHN conversation will keep going after that. It has launched a dedicated HHN podcast with new episodes promised all year round.
The Universal HHN Podcast launched this week on the official Halloween Horror Nights YouTube channel. The trailer went up Wednesday, October 28, and episode one followed Thursday, October 29. Episodes are also on Spotify.
It is not Universal's first HHN audio. The Discover Universal blog posted Echoes from the Fog on October 6, a podcast series of lore stories behind some of this year's haunted houses and scare zones. Hosted HHN episodes are not new either. The general Discover Universal Podcast has brought the event's creative team on to reveal houses, including a three-part HHN 2023 reveal hosted by Kari and David. The Universal HHN Podcast is set up as its own HHN-branded show, with three regular hosts, a reaction-and-ratings format and episodes promised all year round.

Who is behind the mic
The hosts go by their first names: Gabby, Gabbi and Carlos. Universal's trailer description introduces them like this: "Gabby, Gabbi, and Carlos are obsessed with Halloween Horror Nights and somehow convinced us to give them a mic."
The show plans to cover both coasts, Orlando and Hollywood. The trailer promises deep dives into "past Icons, Houses, scare zones, and more," and says the hosts "may even summon up some special guests to look behind the screams."
Episode one calls itself "the all-new OFFICIAL Halloween Horror Nights Podcast, where we're covering all things HHN-related ALL YEAR ROUND." Its description signs off with "see u in the fog, meat bags."
Episode one: an HHN 35 debrief
The debut runs close to an hour and works through Halloween Horror Nights 35 at Universal Orlando. According to its chapter list, it covers:
- Scare zones, starting with Downtown Clowntown and its Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Art the Clown, then Fortnitemares, Infernal Carnival of Nightmares and Sideshow of Decay
- The shows and extras, including Return to Hawkins, Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir, Mel's Die-In: Zombie, HamiKuma and Club Horror
- Food and beverage
- All ten haunted houses, scored on what the show calls the "Lil' Boo Rating System"
- The resort offerings

Why it matters for fans
The pitch is HHN talk between seasons, straight from the event's own channel. Carlos says in the trailer, as quoted by WDW News Today, that the show will be "getting deep into the creations of houses, scare actors, creatives, and art and design team, and audio and culinary, also."
Whether that brings behind-the-scenes guests in the off-season is the thing to watch. Would you listen to an official HHN podcast in the middle of March, or is HHN talk strictly a fall thing for you?
