Disney's Airport Luggage Transfer Now Reaches Coronado Springs and Both Port Orleans Resorts, Nine Hotels in All

Staying at Coronado Springs or either Port Orleans resort? Register ahead and you can now skip baggage claim at Orlando International Airport. Disney's Airport Luggage Transfer service expanded to all three hotels on Thursday, October 29.

That takes the list from six hotels to nine. Blog Mickey points out that with these three in, all four of Disney's Moderate resorts now take part, alongside the five Value resorts that have had it since 2025. No Deluxe resort is on the list yet.

The three new hotels

Disney's Airport Luggage Transfer page now lists these as participating:

  • Disney's Coronado Springs Resort & Gran Destino Tower
  • Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter
  • Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside

They join Disney's All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, Art of Animation and Pop Century resorts, plus Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, which became the first Moderate on the list in August. Blog Mickey says this expansion lands about ten weeks after that one.

Disney's announcement, as quoted by Disney Tourist Blog, says the move is about "giving more eligible Guests access to the service."

Nearly 5,500 rooms in one go

It is a lot of rooms. Disney Tourist Blog counts "over 3,050 rooms" across the two Port Orleans resorts and "nearly 2,400" at Coronado Springs and Gran Destino Tower, for nearly 5,500 rooms added at once. It calls this the service's biggest expansion since launch.

Which airlines count

The airline list did not change with this update. You still need to be flying American Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines or United Airlines on a domestic flight. JetBlue was the most recent addition, in September. Disney's page still says "Additional airlines could be added soon."

Delta flyers are still waiting. Disney Tourist Blog notes that Delta briefly showed up on Disney's list on June 29 before disappearing less than an hour later, and it is still missing from Disney's page as of October 29.

How it works, in short

The service is run by BagCheck and Disney still calls it a pilot program. Blog Mickey calls it complimentary, and Disney's own page adds that gratuities are not included. The basics:

  • Register online between 30 days and one day before your flight, with your Disney Resort and flight confirmation numbers in hand. Register more than 7 days out and luggage tags come in the mail. Inside 7 days there are no tags, but your bags are still delivered.
  • Arriving: check your bags with the airline as usual, skip baggage claim, and head to your hotel. Disney says to allow up to 4 hours after your flight lands for the bags to reach the resort. Pick them up at Luggage Assistance/Bell Services in the lobby, or call from your in-room phone to have them brought up.
  • Going home: check in online starting 24 hours before your flight and pay any bag fees through your airline. Your bags must reach Luggage Assistance/Bell Services between 24 hours and 4 hours before departure, and you need a valid government-issued photo ID and your boarding pass to drop them off.

Keep medications, electronics, anything perishable or heat-sensitive, and important documents such as passports in your carry-on. We walked through the full process in our August post.

So which Deluxe resort goes first?

With every Value and Moderate resort covered, Deluxe is the obvious next tier, but Disney has not said whether more hotels are coming, let alone which or when. Disney Tourist Blog's guess is the Crescent Lake resorts, possibly Yacht & Beach Club and BoardWalk all at once, the hotels near EPCOT's International Gateway.

Would this service change where you book, or would you still rather pick up your own bags?
