Universal Reveals the Revenge of the Mummy Passholder Magnet, and the Only Way to Get One Is the Fully Booked Passholder Nights

When Universal laid out its Passholder Appreciation Days perks in late July, the Passholder Nights magnet was the one it teased instead of showing. In place of a photo there was a teaser card: the word "Revenge" struck through with a red slash, "Reveal coming soon" under it, nothing more. Passholders knew the ride, and that was all they knew. On Friday, Universal posted the finished design to its Universal Orlando Annual Passholders Instagram account.

What it looks like. Picture a square tile with softly rounded corners, its face carved to look like weathered brown sandstone and covered edge to edge in shallow hieroglyphs. The UOAP monogram sits on top in gold, large enough to crowd the border, with "Passholder" running along the bottom in a paler version of the same gold. Everything is some shade of tan or brown except the beetle: a scarab with a metallic blue shell and pale gold legs, sitting where the O belongs in the monogram. A strip of lighter blocks runs along the bottom edge like the base course of a wall. The reveal itself ran as a full animated clip rather than a still.

Universal's pitch, in its own words. The preview went out with this description: "Not even the Medjai can save you from the fear of missing out. Show your love for Revenge of the Mummy and grab this exclusive complimentary magnet, only at Passholder Nights."

The catch has not changed. The magnet will be handed out exclusively during Passholder Nights on Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16. Both nights run 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. inside Universal Studios Florida. Universal has said the two nights include a selection of open attractions, live entertainment, character appearances, and a DJ dance party. Reservations were required up front, and every slot is gone. The two nights open the 2026 Passholder Appreciation Days, which continue through September 30.

Universal has been here before. The ride has carried a passholder magnet once already. The 2022 version, pictured above, went the other direction on color: a pale blue field, chunky white UOAP letters, and a winged scarab in the same spot, standing in for the O over a soft yellow glow. The 2026 version keeps that lockup, the wordmark and the scarab's place in the logo, then changes nearly everything else: blue gives way to carved brown stone and gold, and the beetle trades its wings and gold-brown body for a metallic blue shell.

Our read. A free magnet is a small thing, but the distribution is the story. Reservations were already reported full on July 28, ten days before the design went public, so everyone holding a spot committed without seeing the magnet and everyone else is now locked out. We will not guess at Universal's reasoning, but the effect is a giveaway no one can opt into after the fact. Universal has said there will be no standby line for Passholders without reservations, so anyone who did not land one has no announced route in. Universal said in its late July perks announcement that a separate giveaway starts August 15, with pickup at the UOAP Lounge in Toon Lagoon at Islands of Adventure and The Tonight Shop at Universal Studios Florida for as long as stock holds. Universal still has not said what that item is.
