The HHN 35 Show Times Are Out, and the New Stranger Things Lagoon Show Runs Six Times a Night to Nightmare Fuel's Four
Halloween Horror Nights 35 officially opened Friday night, after a separately ticketed Premium Scream Night preview on Thursday, and the show times went up the same day. The headline number: the brand new Stranger Things lagoon show gets six performances a night. The stage show gets four.
Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins
The lagoon show is performed at 9 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11:15 p.m., 12 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. WDW News Today places the viewing area in Central Park, in the park's Hollywood section, and its rundown of the event map lists the show itself at the lagoon.
Six performances inside an event that runs from 6:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. means a slot opening exactly every 45 minutes from 9 p.m. through 12:45 a.m., the busier of the two live show schedules Universal is billing this year. Universal's own press release describes it as "an all-new nighttime lagoon show honoring the legacy of Stranger Things," with "beloved scenes from the series projected across towering water screens, dynamic lighting effects and immersive audio," staged for the series' 10th anniversary. WDW News Today adds that the framing device is "a special WSQK broadcast," and that guests will "relive five epic seasons of Stranger Things."

Nightmare Fuel: Blood Noir
The sixth entry in the recurring Nightmare Fuel stage show series runs nightly at 8 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., in the former Fear Factor theater in World Expo, next to the MEN IN BLACK Alien Attack! ride. Universal's description is that guests "embark on a dark musical journey and resist temptation as death-defying stunts lure them deeper into a vampire-ridden metropolis." WDW News Today reports that sword swallower Auzzy Blood appears in the show.
Blood Noir opens an hour before the lagoon show does, and its four slots are spaced 90 minutes apart. Because 90 minutes is exactly two lagoon cycles, the same 15-minute stagger repeats all night: the 9:30 p.m., 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. stage shows each start 15 minutes before a lagoon show. Only the 8 p.m. Blood Noir sits clear of the rotation, with a full hour before the 9 p.m. lagoon show. Universal has not published a runtime for either show, so that hour is simply the widest gap the posted times allow.

Universal's press release for opening night puts the event at 10 haunted houses, four new scare zones plus additional street experiences, more than 50 food and beverage offerings, and a Tribute Store returning to the New York area. It says guests "can experience the terror for 49 select nights through November 1." Hotel guests get access to a priority event entrance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The release also looks back to the start, describing the 1991 original as "a three-night event with one haunted house called 'Fright Nights'" that "has evolved into the global phenomenon of Halloween Horror Nights." The 10 houses and 49 nights above are what that has grown into 35 years on.
