Discovery Cove Says 100 Reality TV Stars Are Coming December 4, and Its Own Offer Page Still Says 2024

Discovery Cove says it will be full of people you half recognize from television on one Friday in December, and outside the park's own website and the nonprofit the weekend benefits, we could not find anyone who has written it up.

A Celebrity Weekend page now live at discoverycove.com sets the date: Friday, December 4, 2026. In the park's own words, "Discovery Cove is welcoming 100 reality stars from fan-favorite shows like Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race, The Challenge, and more." Guests are told to "stop by Serenity Bay from 2-3 p.m. where you can meet, mingle, snap photos and say hello to some of your favorite reality stars."

This is a returning date rather than a brand new one. An archived copy of the same page from August 30, 2025 announced a December 5, 2025 edition, promising "over 100 reality stars" from the same four shows and a Serenity Bay meet and mingle from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.

The group shot Discovery Cove uses to sell Celebrity Weekend: rows of people on the sand in front of a lagoon and its flowering rock grotto, nearly all wearing lanyards, with one woman kneeling left of center holding a scarlet macaw. What is actually being promised

The Discovery Cove day is one piece of something larger. The page describes it as "a one day event within Celebrity Weekend's 3-day Orlando event packed with reality tv celebrity appearances, exclusive experiences, and exciting entertainment." That wider weekend runs December 3 to 6 in Orlando and benefits Sojourn to the Past, the civil rights education nonprofit whose site the Discovery Cove page links to.

The fine print is direct about what you are not buying. The "meet & mingle happy hour," the page says, "is a limited-time experience and specific reality stars are not guaranteed to make an appearance." It continues: "Throughout the day, reality stars will be roaming freely throughout the park, admission to the park does not guarantee a meet and greet opportunity."

So: a headcount, a one-hour window, a location, and no names on the park's page. The Sojourn to the Past site the park links to does name the weekend's line-up, billing it as "120+ STARS" and listing each attending celebrity with a fundraising page. That list covers all three days, not the Discovery Cove day specifically.

A small inconsistency, and a bigger one

The page gives two different counts. The body copy says 100. The page's own meta description, the line that feeds search results and social previews, says "over 100," which is the figure the 2025 version of the page used.

A separate offer page for the same visit date, which the event page does not actually link to, is in worse shape. Its terms carry the correct dates, reading "Limited time offer valid for visit December 4, 2026" and "Offer valid for 12/4/26 visit." The banner copy and the introduction above the ticket modules are left over from a previous year. The fine print under the banner heading still reads "Offer valid on 12/6/24 reservations only." Two paragraphs below it thank readers for supporting Give Kids the World Village, offer "the discounted fan-package for December 6, 2024," and invite them to take "20% savings on your December 8th reservation." Those lines are unchanged from the version of this page archived in August 2024, when the reality-star day was tied to Give Kids the World Village. This year's event page points to Sojourn to the Past instead. The complimentary drink package is valued at $50 in the leftover copy and $45 in the live ticket modules.

None of that changes the event date, which the live terms and the event page agree on. It does mean the two-year-old copy sits above the live ticket modules, so anyone landing on the offer page cold has to scroll past it to work out what they are buying.

The gift card offer closes Sunday

Separately, and on a much shorter clock, Discovery Cove is running a $50 gift card promotion. Per the terms, "$50 gift cards only available for reservations booked August 3-23, 2026, for visit dates through March 7, 2027." That booking window shuts on Sunday, August 23.

One card is issued per paid admission, handed over at check-in on the day of the visit, and it cannot be applied to the Discovery Cove admission that earned it. It can be spent at any United Parks property on food and beverage, admission, merchandise, photo packages and upgrades, only one card per online transaction, and its value expires at midnight on March 7, 2027.

Pirate River Quest Has Sat on Legoland Florida's Closure List for More Than a Year With No Reopening Date, and Three More Went Dark Monday

Legoland Florida's temporary closures page lists seven things shut right now, and three of them carry no end date at all: Pirate River Quest, The LEGOLAND Story and the Minifigure Trading Wall. Archived copies show the boat ride has been on the list since at least September last year, when Legoland's own page dated the closure to August 4, 2025. Four more closures carry dates, three of them starting Monday, including The Great LEGO Race and the full closure of Imagination Zone. One of those four, Deli Takeover, is still listed as a lunch option on the park's new prepaid Dining Packages.
