You had to wait in line just to get to the booking page. Reservations for The Diamond Horseshoe pop-up at Magic Kingdom opened at 8 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday, September 29, behind a virtual queue, and opening day was booked the same night.

The prices surfaced about an hour later. By 9:05 p.m., WDW News Today had posted the full menu with prices, and Disney's own menu page now lists a price for every item.

A queue for one lounge

Instead of dropping guests straight into the booking page, Disney held them in a waiting room. By 8:07 p.m. the screen carried this warning: "Due to high demand, reservations for The Diamond Horseshoe - Limited Time Offering may be limited or could be unavailable when it's your turn to enter the site." The screen also told guests that being in the queue "does not guarantee the ability to book."

How fast opening day went depends on who you ask. WDW News Today reported that opening day, October 4, filled in about 15 minutes. BlogMickey said it sold out within an hour. Either way, it was gone on the first night.

BlogMickey points to one precedent: in August 2025, Disney put reservations for The Beak and Barrel, the Adventureland tavern themed to Pirates of the Caribbean, behind a similar virtual waiting room. By BlogMickey's account, every Beak and Barrel date was gone at every party size within two hours.

If you missed out, you still have options. BlogMickey reports that Disney has said it will take walk-ups once the pop-up opens, and that, as of Wednesday morning, Disney was taking reservations for dates through November 29. Disney's lounge page repeats the waiting-room warning: "Due to high demand, reservations for The Diamond Horseshoe - Limited Time Offering may be limited or could be unavailable."

What it costs

When we covered the full menu on August 31, Disney had not listed a single price. Its menu page, headed "A Limited-Time Lounge Menu" and "Starting October 4, 2026," now has one for everything.

Five cocktails on a wooden table with rope, horseshoes and a belt buckle: a purple drink with a dried citrus wheel, a tall amber drink with a lemon wheel, a tall yellow drink with a spiced rim, an amber drink on ice with an orange slice, and a red drink topped with blackberries

Small plates ($12 to $22):

  • Charcuterie, $22
  • Glazed Sticky Ribs, $16
  • Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends, $15
  • Chipotle Chicken Tostada, $14
  • Sweet Golden Corn Fritters, $12
  • Mini Hot Dog Platter, $12

Specialty cocktails ($17 to $19):

  • Cactus Rose Margarita, $17
  • Rattler Rum Punch, $17
  • Whinnyin' Whiskey Lemonade, $18
  • High Plains Huckleberry, $19
  • Coal'd Fashioned, $19
  • In Holiday Fashion, $19

Wine by the glass: Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco and Fess Parker Riesling at $14, and MacMurray Ranch Pinot Noir at $19.

Beer: 16-ounce drafts of Samuel Adams Boston Lager ($12.50), Yuengling Traditional Lager ($10.25) and Cigar City Jai Alai IPA ($12.50), plus a can of Athletic Brewing Co Upside Dawn Golden (Non-Alcoholic) at $8.50.

Non-alcoholic specialties ($6.29 to $6.99): Enchanted Grove Lime Splash ($6.29), Enchanting Ember Lemonade ($6.49), Orange Cream Soda ($6.99) and Caramel Root Beer with Sweet Cream ($6.99).

Disney also lists allergy-friendly versions of all six small plates at the same prices. You need to speak to a Cast Member to request one.

What changed since August

The priced menu does not match the one Disney published on August 31 word for word. Beyond small wording changes, four things are different:

  • The corn fritters list one sauce, not two. In August Disney listed them with cilantro ranch dressing and red chili honey. The menu page now lists only red chile honey.
  • The Pinot got a new name. August's MacMurray Estate Pinot Noir is listed as MacMurray Ranch Pinot Noir.
  • There is a new drink. The Athletic Brewing non-alcoholic beer was not on the August list.
  • The ribs have a named glaze. The Glazed Sticky Ribs are now listed as glazed in Barq's Root Beer, which the August list did not mention.

What would a night here cost? A plate of ribs and a Coal'd Fashioned comes to $35 before tax and tip. The cheapest plate-and-alcoholic-drink pairing, the corn fritters or mini hot dogs with a Yuengling, is $22.25.

Before you book

Disney bills this as a lounge menu of small plates, and the old family-style meal is not part of it. The menu page says: "The Diamond Horseshoe will exclusively serve tasty limited-time dishes from the Special menu. If you're looking for family-style Thanksgiving dinner items, they are available at Liberty Tree Tavern."

Disney's lounge page also says "Valid admission required," so you need a ticket to Magic Kingdom to get in, and a theme park reservation may be required depending on your ticket type. Disney said in August that the pop-up will be closed during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party but open during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and opening day, October 4, is a Halloween party night. Disney still has not announced when the pop-up ends.
