Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Has Its First 2026 Sellout, and Unlike the Last Two Years It Isn't Opening Night

The first sold-out night of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2026 is not opening night. Tuesday, November 24, the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week, is gone. Opening night on Sunday, November 8 is still on sale.

WDWMagic spotted the change on Monday evening, September 28, reporting that the November 24 party, "priced at $204, is now unavailable to purchase." Blog Mickey followed on Tuesday morning, crediting the news to Walt Disney World.

Opening night went first in 2024 and 2025. Not this year

According to WDWMagic, opening night was the first date to sell out in both 2024 and 2025. This year a later November date hit capacity first.

The timing is different too. WDWMagic puts the first sellout on September 3 in 2024 and September 10 in 2025. This year it landed on September 28, which the site calls part of a slower start to sales it had flagged the week before.

Blog Mickey is careful about reading too much into it, noting that a single sold-out night is not proof that demand is moving toward Thanksgiving week. For now it is one date, and WDWMagic says it will keep tracking sellouts as they happen.

What November 24 cost, and what is left

November 24 was the ninth of this season's 25 party nights, according to Blog Mickey, and it sold for $204 plus tax. It was also one of the nights with no Annual Passholder discount. On every date, tickets for children ages 3 to 9 cost $10 less.

  • Still available: the other 24 nights, including opening night on November 8 ($199, or $189 for Annual Passholders).
  • The neighbors: November 25 ($209) and November 27 ($219), the other two Thanksgiving week party nights, were still on sale, and neither has a Passholder discount.
  • The price range: $189 to $229 this season for general admission, per Blog Mickey. The top price matches last year's $229, while the cheapest nights went up from $169 to $189.
  • Passholder nights: all 11 discounted dates (November 8 to 20 and November 29 to December 3) still had tickets.

If you are going Thanksgiving week

Party nights also change the day for everyone else. As we reported earlier this month, Magic Kingdom closes to regular admission at 6pm on three days of Thanksgiving week so the party can start at 7pm. If you had November 24 in mind and did not buy, the November 25 and 27 parties are the closest alternatives, and both were still on sale when Blog Mickey published.

This year's party season covers 25 select nights at Magic Kingdom, from November 8 to December 22, 2026. Tickets are sold online at Disney's party page or by phone. Going by the last two seasons, WDWMagic expects more dates to sell out in the weeks ahead.
