Renew Your Disney World Annual Pass and a Dapper Main Street Mickey Magnet Now Comes in the Mail, Starting With September Anniversaries

Mickey got a makeover, and it is headed for your mailbox. Renewing Annual Passholders now get a special edition Mickey Mouse magnet by mail from Walt Disney World, beginning with September 2026 pass anniversaries.

Disney's announcement, as reported by WDWMagic and Blog Mickey on Tuesday, September 29, calls it "a very special thank you for renewing." The design is inspired by Main Street, U.S.A., with Mickey "gussied up in his finest turn-of-the-century attire and cheesin' from ear to ear."

A hand holds up a die-cut golden-yellow Walt Disney World annual passholder magnet showing Mickey Mouse in a straw boater hat, yellow bow tie, blue vest and red trousers, tipping his hat, in front of a blurred Main Street, U.S.A. lit with warm bulbs

How it works

This one comes to you. Disney's wording: "Passholders who renew their pass will receive a special edition Mickey Mouse magnet in the mail." Here is the fine print from the announcement:

  • Who: Passholders who renew, starting with Annual Pass anniversaries in September 2026.
  • When: "within six weeks of their pass anniversary date."
  • Where it goes: every Passholder needs a valid U.S. mailing address on file in their MyDisney account to get one.
  • Limit: two magnets per household when more than one pass in that household shares the same anniversary date.
  • The usual caveats: the offer depends on availability and can change or be canceled without notice or liability, and Disney won't take responsibility if a magnet is lost, stolen or damaged.

So before you renew, check that the address on your MyDisney account is right, and Disney suggests doing that for every Passholder in your household. Questions go to V.I.PASSHOLDER Support, through the online chat in the "Help" feature on the Walt Disney World website, by email, or at 407-939-7277.

A mailbox perk, not a park pickup

Blog Mickey points out that Passholder magnets are typically picked up inside the theme parks. The last one it wrote about was the Kermit the Frog magnet handed out at Mickey Shorts Theater in Disney's Hollywood Studios, a pickup that ran through September 24 (we covered that giveaway in August). Mailed magnets are not brand new, though: Blog Mickey notes that in 2025, after EPCOT ran out of Ray magnets, Disney gave some Passholders a chance at one by mail, and Passholders reported magnets arriving by mail in 2021.

One Blog Mickey reader added a wrinkle in the comments, saying renewal magnets have always come in the mail, usually with a plain Mickey design. If that is right, the real news is the new art.

Not everyone loves the look

The new Mickey is already getting reviews. WDWMagic's discussion of the announcement had passed 300 comments by Wednesday, and one of the first replies called the design "hideous." The early replies on that page skew critical, while the Blog Mickey reader above was excited to get a new design. Love it or not, this is the Mickey headed to renewing Passholders' mailboxes, within six weeks of each pass anniversary date.
