Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Is Now More Than Half Sold Out, and Thanksgiving Week Is Gone

If your plan was a Very Merry party during Thanksgiving week, those nights are now gone. Wednesday, November 25 (the night before Thanksgiving) and Friday, November 27 (the night after) have both sold out, and with Tuesday, November 24 already gone since September, there is no Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party left to buy during Thanksgiving week.

Friday, December 18, the last Friday party of the season, is gone too. As of Saturday, October 24, BlogMickey counts 13 of the 25 party nights as sold out, matching the count WDW News Today gave on Friday, October 23: 13 sold out, 12 still available, so the party is now more than halfway sold out for the season.

What sold out since our last count

When opening night sold out on October 17, BlogMickey reported the next day that Friday, November 20 ($199) had gone along with it, leaving 15 nights on sale. Three more have gone this past week, according to WDW News Today's running updates:

  • Wednesday, November 25 ($209), reported October 20
  • Friday, November 27 ($219), reported October 21
  • Friday, December 18 ($229), reported October 23

BlogMickey points out that none of the three (November 25, November 27 and December 18) came with an Annual Passholder rate. The discounted nights have still gone faster overall: by its count, seven of the 11 discount nights have sold out, against six of the other 14. "Discount nights are selling out faster than the rest of the calendar," BlogMickey wrote.

The 12 nights you can still book

Prices below are BlogMickey's current per-ticket listings for guests 10 and up, plus tax, as WDW News Today notes. Children ages 3 to 9 pay $10 less on every date.

  • November 15 and 19: $194, or $184 for Annual Passholders (the cheapest nights left)
  • November 29: $214, or $204 for Annual Passholders (the closest night to Thanksgiving still open)
  • December 3: $214, or $204 for Annual Passholders
  • December 6: $214
  • December 4, 8 and 10: $219
  • December 11, 13 and 15: $224
  • December 17: $229, now the only $229 night with tickets

That leaves four nights with a Passholder discount: November 15, 19 and 29, and December 3.

How fast could the rest go?

Last year, every one of the 25 nights had sold out by November 19, BlogMickey reports, just 12 days after that season's first party on November 7. This year's first party is Sunday, November 8, and BlogMickey says the remaining nights could keep filling up. Disney also says tickets are limited and may not be available for purchase on the day of the event, or even earlier.

The party runs from 7pm to midnight at Magic Kingdom, and ticket holders can enter the park as early as 4pm. The lineup includes Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show and Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration on the castle stage.

Holding out for one of the $194 November nights, or going big on December 17 before it goes too?
