Disney's Lakeshore Lodge opens to the public on July 1, 2027. Disney Vacation Club members who book a new package will have checked out four days before that.

DVC has opened what it is calling the Member "First Wave" Experience at the new Bay Lake resort. It is a three night stay from June 24 through June 27, 2027, which puts checkout four days before the resort's opening day. Booking opens Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET, through Member Services at (800) 800-9800 or on disneyvacationclub.com.

What is in the package

The package covers more than the room, which is worth holding in mind when weighing these totals against a normal three night points cost. Disney's list of inclusions covers:

  • A 3-day theme park ticket with Park Hopper, for every guest aged 3 and up
  • Dinner at Moonglade, the new table-service restaurant at the resort
  • Breakfast in Pioneer Hall
  • Dinner at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue
  • A Disney Dining Promo Card worth $200 for each guest aged 3 and up
  • A behind the scenes look at the making of the resort
  • Commemorative keepsakes

The dining is billed as DVC event-exclusive. Two of the three meals are at Pioneer Hall, which sits at neighboring Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and is also where the Hoop-Dee-Doo dinner show is staged.

The points chart

The chart banner sets "2027" beside "RESERVATION POINTS" over "INCLUSIVE OF DOUBLE OCCUPANCY," and Disney notes that a listed total already covers the first two guests in a room. The 13 accommodation types run:

  • Duo Studio (sleeps 2): 184 points
  • Deluxe Studio, Resort View (4): 196 points
  • Resort Studio, Preferred View (4): 198 points
  • Deluxe Studio, Preferred View (4): 200 points
  • Deluxe Studio, Premium View (4): 216 points
  • 1 Bedroom Villa, Resort View (5): 248 points
  • 1 Bedroom Villa, Preferred View (5): 260 points
  • 1 Bedroom Villa, Premium View (5): 308 points
  • 2 Bedroom Villa, Preferred View (9): 336 points
  • 2 Bedroom Villa, Premium View (9): 420 points
  • 3 Bedroom Grand Villa (12): 532 points
  • 1 Bedroom Lake House (5): 424 points
  • 2 Bedroom Lake House (8): 524 points

A 1 Bedroom Lake House that sleeps five costs 424 points, 116 more than the 308 point 1 Bedroom Villa with a premium view and 108 points short of the 12 person Grand Villa. The chart applies one additional-guest rate across all accommodation types: for guests three through twelve in the same room, 68 points or $1,349 for an adult aged 10 and up, and 50 points or $999 for a child aged 3 to 9.

WDWMagic reports that all applicable taxes are included, that the $95 transaction fee, which is non-refundable, is not charged on a First Wave booking but does return for any change made afterward, and that full payment is due at confirmation. WDW News Today's write-up does not mention the fee waiver.

Where this sits on the booking calendar

Disney set out the general Lakeshore Lodge booking dates earlier this week, and the First Wave window opens about a month after all of them:

  • October 6, 2026: the early cash booking window opens for DVC members, by phone at (800) 800-9800
  • October 7, 2026: Walt Disney World Annual Passholders can book, at (407) 934-7639
  • October 8, 2026: booking opens to all guests, online or at (407) 934-7639
  • November 7, 2026: booking opens for the Member "First Wave" Experience

Lakeshore Lodge will be a new Deluxe Resort hotel on Bay Lake, built where the River Country water park used to stand, between Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The resort will have 967 rooms in all, ranging from studios and suites to the one and two bedroom Lake Houses on the shoreline.

The renderings Disney has released for the resort still carry the watermark "Under construction - projected opening Summer 2027," even though the July 1, 2027 opening date is now confirmed.

Disney Named Monstropolis' Main Street Dark Avenue, and Imagineers Say Piston Peak Buildings Were Shortened After a Balloon Test Came Back Too High

Walt Disney Imagineering put out a new We Call It Imagineering episode on Friday, a 24-minute architecture tour that stops in on four Walt Disney World projects. The headline is a name nobody had heard before: Dark Avenue, the main street running through Monstropolis to the Monsters, Inc. factory that will house the suspended door coaster. The same episode explains what balloons like the one we wrote about on August 12 are for. Imagineers say the first Piston Peak sightline test showed some elevations were a little too high, and structures were shortened before a second test came back right on the money.
