Halloween season at SeaWorld Orlando now has a start date. The park has announced that Howl-O-Scream, its after-dark scare event, returns on select nights from September 11 through October 31, 2026, and it kicked off the reveal by naming the first of this year's five haunted houses: Everything Must Stay.

The dates and the scope

Now in its sixth year at SeaWorld Orlando, Howl-O-Scream 2026 is once again a separately ticketed nighttime event layered on top of the regular park day. When fully unveiled, this year's event will feature five haunted houses, six scare zones, five themed bars, and two live shows, with the park promising that additional houses, scare zones, and entertainment will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The quick facts: Howl-O-Scream at SeaWorld Orlando, select nights September 11 through October 31, 2026. Five haunted houses, six scare zones, five themed bars, and two live shows. First house revealed: Everything Must Stay. Sinister Sale tickets from $34.99. Separately ticketed nighttime event.

The first house: Everything Must Stay

The debut house SeaWorld chose to lead with is an original concept rather than a licensed property. Everything Must Stay is set in a suburban home that has sat unsold for six years, because every open house ends the same way, with prospective buyers fleeing something they cannot explain. It leans into a real-estate-nightmare premise that should feel a little too familiar to anyone who has ever toured a house that felt off.

The event also keeps several of the park's rides running after dark, including coasters Mako, Ice Breaker, and Pipeline: The Surf Coaster plus the flying-theater attraction Expedition Odyssey: Fire & Ice, so there is a mix of thrills alongside the scares.

Tickets and the Sinister Sale

SeaWorld paired the announcement with a limited-time Sinister Sale. Single-night tickets start at $34.99 (advertised as up to 70 percent off), and Annual Pass Members can get in from $29.99 (up to 75 percent off). As with most of these early-bird deals, the pricing is time-limited, so the lowest rates will not stick around all season.

The bottom line

With dates locked in, a first house revealed, and cheap early tickets on the table, SeaWorld has rounded out Orlando's Halloween season lineup, joining Universal's Halloween Horror Nights and Disney's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which both revealed their 2026 plans earlier this year. Expect the rest of the house and scare-zone lineup to trickle out over the next few weeks.
