SeaWorld's Hotel Transylvania Monster Breakfast Now Costs $39.99 for Adults, Up $4 Mid-Season, While Kids Stay at $20.99

Breakfast with Drac just got a little pricier. SeaWorld Orlando's booking page for the Hotel Transylvania Monster Breakfast now lists the adult price at $39.99, up from the $35.99 it cost when the meal launched in August.

Kids did not get the bump. The child price (ages 3 to 9) is still $20.99, and infants up to age 2 are still free.

Old price, new price

When booking opened in August, we reported the breakfast at $35.99 for adults and $20.99 for kids. Attractions Magazine's review, published August 30, still had the same numbers: "At $35.99 for adults and $20.99 for children ages 3 to 9, Hotel Transylvania Monster Breakfast makes the most sense when you consider everything packed into the hour instead of judging it solely as a buffet."

Today, the booking page lists:

• Adult (ages 10 and up): $39.99
• Child (ages 3 to 9): $20.99
• Infant (ages 0 to 2): $0.00

That is a $4 increase, about 11 percent, on the adult ticket only. For a family of two adults and two kids, breakfast goes from $113.96 to $121.96 before tax and gratuity, which are not included.

We could not find any SeaWorld announcement of the change, and the listing notes that "Prices are subject to change without notice." Our own checks of the booking page still showed $35.99 on the morning of September 23, and $39.99 when we checked again later that same morning.

What has not changed

Apart from the adult price, the booking terms match what we reported in August. Seating is at 9:00am on Spooktacular days, which SeaWorld lists as Saturdays, Sundays, and select Fridays and Mondays, and Halloween Spooktacular runs through November 1. Pass Member and Ambassador discounts still apply, and the breakfast is refunded if you cancel 24 hours in advance.

The kids' perk is still there: "For a limited time, all child reservations will come with a complimentary souvenir Hotel Transylvania cup!"

One small thing to know before you go: the listing names the venue as SeaFire Inn at the top, but its fine print says, "Please arrive at Seafire Grill at least 15 minutes prior to your dining time."

Is it still worth it?

At $39.99, the adult ticket gets you the buffet, a three-song mini-show and meet-and-greets with Drac, Mavis, Johnny, Frank and Murray, according to Attractions Magazine's review. If you were already planning it, the kids' side of the bill is unchanged, and so is the free cup.
