Grand Floridian Cafe Takes Reservations for a November 2 Return, Swapping Brunch for Breakfast and Lunch

When the Grand Floridian Cafe comes back, brunch is out. Its reservation schedule shows separate breakfast and lunch services in its place.

The Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa returns on Monday, November 2, 2026, according to WDWMagic, which reported on October 8 that breakfast and lunch reservations had just been added in My Disney Experience. Dinner reservations for the same date appeared first, back in early September.

As of October 12, Disney has not formally announced the date. Disney Tourist Blog put it this way: Walt Disney World "still hasn't announced a reopening date for Grand Floridian Cafe, but they have indirectly revealed when the restaurant will return."

Three meals instead of two

Before it closed, the cafe served just two meals, brunch and dinner. WDWMagic listed its schedule for the last day, July 19, as brunch from 7:30am to 2pm and dinner from 5pm to 9pm. Three meals is not a first, though: a photo caption still on Disney's page describes the cafe as "open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner". The schedule bookable for November 2, per WDWMagic:

• Breakfast: 7:30am to 11am
• Lunch: 11:30am to 2pm
• Dinner: 5pm to 9pm

Disney's own page for the restaurant already matches. It reads: "Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this elegant yet effortlessly relaxed eatery blends seaside gentility with classic American cuisine." The page also carries this tagline: "Dine in Golden Age Floridian charm with menus inspired by the Sunshine State's blend of natural beauty and historic grace."

What's on the menus

Disney's menu data for the cafe now lists separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus, alongside the brunch menu that is still marked as current. A few prices from the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus:

• Breakfast: Mickey-shaped Waffle $17, The Grand Breakfast $17, Seasonal Quiche $17, Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle $27, Steak and Eggs $27
• Lunch: Applewood Bacon Burger $25 (brie, bacon-pepper jam and roasted garlic aioli on brioche), The Club $19, Cobb Salad $21, Miso-glazed Salmon $32
• Dinner: Buttermilk-fried Chicken $29, Slow-braised Pork Shank $34, Shrimp Scampi $38, Grilled New York Strip $39

The breakfast menu is nearly identical to the brunch menu Disney still lists for the cafe (only one dessert is missing), so not every dish will be new on November 2. For lunch and dinner, Disney's page points to "the signature burger and fried chicken" as standout favorites.

Where it has been

The cafe's last day before the refresh was Sunday, July 19, 2026, according to WDWMagic. In March, Disney said the cafe would "temporarily close for a refresh" from "mid-July through October 2026," and that brunch would "temporarily move to Cítricos." Disney Tourist Blog reports that the Cítricos brunch runs through November 1.

Disney has not said what the refresh changes inside the dining room. Disney has not released any photos of the refreshed room, so treat the pictures in this story as the before shots.

Resort renovations continue into 2027

The cafe's refresh came in the middle of a larger renovation at the resort, and that work is not finished. Disney's page carries this notice: "Through early 2027, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will undergo continued renovations in select areas, including the covered entrance. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours and may need to take alternate walking paths around the Resort hotel."
