Disney's Yacht Club Is Out From Behind the Scaffolding, but the Beach Club Next Door Has Work Until Late 2027

The Yacht Club's lighthouse has a clean backdrop again. Disney's Yacht Club Resort has come out from behind the scaffolding and construction walls that surrounded parts of it for about 20 months, and Disney has taken the construction warning off the resort's page.

Blog Mickey reported on Friday, November 6 that the Walt Disney World website had removed the Yacht Club's exterior maintenance notice that day, one day after the resort's 36th anniversary. Until then, the page opened with this warning:

"Disney's Yacht Club Resort is undergoing visible exterior maintenance through late 2026, which will impact views from various locations throughout the Resort hotel and, at times, require alternate paths of travel. Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours until the refurbishment is complete."

The work finished inside that "late 2026" window, and Blog Mickey says holiday guests no longer need to work construction views or detours at the Yacht Club itself into their plans.

What the work was

The project dates to a March 2025 Walt Disney World permit covering roof repairs and exterior refurbishment at the Yacht Club. By April, crews were replacing big stretches of shingles and siding, at the same time as the Stormalong Bay pool refresh. In August 2025 Disney extended both timelines: late 2026 for the Yacht Club, and into 2027 for the Beach Club.

Disney kept the hotel open throughout. Inside the Magic says the resort has come out of it with "refreshed gray siding, restored white trim, and its familiar waterfront appearance just in time for the busy holiday travel season."

Dining was already back to full strength. After refurbishments of their own, Crew's Cup Lounge and Yachtsman Steakhouse both returned earlier this year, so every Yacht Club lounge and restaurant is open again, Blog Mickey notes.

The Beach Club is still mid-project

Next door, scaffolding was still standing at Disney's Beach Club Resort on November 6 as roof work there carries on. Disney says visible exterior maintenance at that hotel runs through late 2027, with possible impacts on views from some parts of the resort and occasional detours. That is roughly another year under the same kind of warning the Yacht Club just shed.

Skyliner closures to plan around

According to Blog Mickey, the Yacht Club's page now carries just one notice, and it is about two upcoming Disney Skyliner refurbishments:

  • 2027: January 24 through 30
  • 2028: January 24 through February 2

Disney says it will run complimentary buses during both closures. The Yacht Club has no Skyliner station of its own; the nearest is a short walk away at EPCOT's International Gateway.

Have you stayed at the Yacht or Beach Club during the work? Would you book the Beach Club before late 2027?
