Jurassic Park River Adventure The scanners that let guests highlight fossils on the Discovering Dinosaurs rock wall are gone, and WDW News Today reports black scrim now covers the signs of the removal. Universal has not announced the change, and it lands while Jurassic Park River Adventure sits closed until November 20.
Warner Bros. Discovery has finally said what Universal Orlando is actually doing for Back to Hogwarts, and it starts in nine days. Running August 1 through September 1, the celebration brings a limited-edition Butterbeer mug stamped "25 Years of Magic," a park-exclusive Build-A-Bag collection from luggage brand Lug, and special food and beverage offerings at Universal Orlando. All eight films also return to theaters worldwide from August 27, and the 25th anniversary re-release of Sorcerer's Stone carries 12 minutes of never-before-seen footage.
Jurassic Park River Adventure Universal said in May that Thunder Falls Terrace would close this summer to become the new signature restaurant at Islands of Adventure, but never named a date. WDW News Today reports it seems the Jurassic Park counter-service spot quietly served its last guests on Sunday, July 19.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure New construction walls have gone up directly in front of Mythos Restaurant, and the Lost Continent restrooms have closed, leaving just four venues open as Universal tears down one of Islands of Adventure's six original 1999 lands. Mythos itself is still set to close permanently in 2027, and Universal has not said what will replace the area.
Florida residents can now visit Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure an unlimited number of times through December 16 for $199 plus tax. The new 2-Park Unlimited Days ticket does not include Epic Universe or Volcano Bay, and Universal is pairing it with up to 25 percent off select hotels for Florida residents.
