Universal Drops the 2026 "Love is Universal" Pride Collection, with 100% of Profits Going to Local LGBTQ+ Nonprofits Through August

Universal Orlando rolled out the 2026 "Love is Universal" Pride collection this morning, the annual Pride Month tie-in that lands ahead of June. The headline isn't just the merch (a Spirit Jersey, hat, crossbody bag, tumbler, plus more): it's the donation pledge that comes with it.

The headlines:

  • Collection name: "Love is Universal." The 2026 lineup is fresh, building on prior-year capsule collections.

  • Available now at Universal Studios Stores at both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

  • 100 percent of profits, through August, go to nonprofits supporting local communities, including those within the LGBTQ+ community. Verbatim from Universal: "Through August, Universal will donate 100% of profits from the 'Love is Universal' merchandise to non-profit organizations supporting local communities, including those within the LGBTQ+ community."

What's in the collection

The pieces in the lineup at launch:

  • Spirit Jersey. The flagship apparel piece in Universal's passholder-favorite oversized fit.

  • Hat. Cap with the 2026 Pride graphic.

  • Crossbody bag. Compact, park-day appropriate.

  • Tumbler. Insulated, with the collection art.

  • Additional items in the lineup beyond the four headline pieces.

The donation pledge

The donation language is unusually clean: 100 percent of profits, not just a percentage of sales, with proceeds running through August (covering the full Pride Month window in June plus the typical late-summer purchase window). Universal hasn't named the specific nonprofit recipients in the launch announcement, but the framing ("organizations supporting local communities, including those within the LGBTQ+ community") signals a Central Florida-anchored set of beneficiaries. Worth watching for the post-launch announcement that names the specific orgs.

Quick planner notes

  • Both coasts get the same drop. If you're visiting Universal Studios Hollywood instead of Orlando, the same collection is on shelves there.

  • Pride Month is June. Universal's release timing (May 2) means stock is on shelves three to four weeks before peak demand. If a specific piece sells out, restocks are likely through Pride Month.

  • Stack with Passholder Bonus Benefits. Day 2 of the May 1-21 Bonus Benefits window is today, which means the $5 merch credit on a single transaction of $10 or more applies if you buy a Pride piece at a participating shop.

Universal Orlando reported no widespread closures from the 6.1 magnitude earthquake off Cuba this afternoon, while Disney World took more than 10 attractions offline for precautionary safety inspections. Stardust Racers, VelociCoaster, Hagrid's, and the rest of the Universal Orlando coaster lineup stayed open.
