Disney Shows the Refreshed Grand Floridian Cafe for the First Time, a Day Before It Reopens With an $8 Apple Butter Cinnamon Roll

For more than three months, Disney had not shared a single photo of the refreshed Grand Floridian Cafe. On Sunday, November 1, a day before the restaurant reopens, Disney finally let everyone see inside.

The Disney Eats Instagram account posted photos of the refreshed dining room and four dishes coming with the reopening, as reported by WDW News Today and Blog Mickey. The cafe at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reopens on Monday, November 2, for breakfast, lunch and dinner after a refurbishment that began in July.

What the room looks like now

When we covered the cafe's November 2 reservations in October, Disney had not released a single photo of the new room. Now it has. In the photo above, green lattice frames the upper walls between white columns, gold shelving units display blue and white porcelain, and coral chairs sit at white-topped tables beside floral banquettes and a potted citrus topiary.

Blog Mickey calls it "a brighter dining room" and points out that Disney has given no list of what is different from the old look. Disney's own caption opened with: "Grand new flavors are flourishing over at the Grand Floridian Cafe."

The four dishes Disney showed

WDW News Today listed these prices alongside the photos:

  • Apple Butter Cinnamon Roll, $8: with cinnamon-caramel crumb.
  • The Club, $19: house-roasted turkey, carved ham, bacon, herbed cheese spread, crispy onions and tomato focaccia, with house-seasoned steak fries.
  • Cobb Salad, $21: romaine, house-roasted turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, egg and blue cheese, with Cobb dressing.
  • Fried Green Tomatoes, $12: with remoulade sauce. WDW News Today labels this one plant-based.

The Club and the Cobb Salad carry the same $19 and $21 prices we found in Disney's lunch menu data in October. WDW News Today describes the set as four new menu items "including a returning favorite," without saying which one.

What changes for brunch

While the cafe was closed, its brunch moved to Cítricos, which WDW News Today says has served it from 7:30am to 2pm. With the cafe back, the reservation schedule we reported in October splits the day into breakfast, lunch and dinner rather than brunch and dinner.

The rest of the resort is not finished. Blog Mickey reports that Disney says renovations elsewhere at the Grand Floridian, including the covered entrance, continue through early 2027, so guests may still see construction or be routed along different walkways around the resort.

WDW News Today says its full review of the new menu is coming on reopening day. Are you booking the cinnamon roll, or holding out for the full breakfast menu?
