Universal Has Walled Off the Treasures of Poseidon Gift Shop at Islands of Adventure Ahead of Demolition
Poseidon's Fury came down in August. Its gift shop is next.
Construction walls at Universal Islands of Adventure have been pushed forward to seal off Treasures of Poseidon, the shop that sat at the exit of Poseidon's Fury in The Lost Continent. WDW News Today reported the change Friday evening.
When we wrote about Poseidon's Fury being completely demolished in August, the shop was expected to come down but had no walls around it. That gap has closed.

What actually changed
Per WDW News Today, the walls were pushed out far enough to put the gift shop behind them, claiming a little more of the walkway in the process. The shop shut for good earlier this year, but it had stayed out in the open until now.
The outlet is direct about where this goes next: Treasures of Poseidon will be demolished, the same as Poseidon's Fury before it.
That is the whole story, and it is a small one, but it closes a loop. The attraction came down first and the shop at its exit stayed standing for weeks afterward, in plain view and behind no walls at all.
The other wall moved the other way
The more interesting wrinkle is on the opposite side of the path. WDW News Today reports that across from Treasures of Poseidon, "the walls next to Mythos have moved back a bit, giving guests as much space as possible."

So one wall came forward and one went back on the same walkway. Crews also took out a snack stand and some trees on the Mythos side.
The result is a corridor that stays walkable while the demolition zone grows behind it.

Mythos is on the clock as well
The restaurant getting the extra breathing room is not staying either. Mythos Restaurant will close permanently in 2027, with Thunder Falls Terrace over in Jurassic Park converting to full service to take its place.
Universal still has not said what replaces The Lost Continent. That is the part guests want to know, and for now the only visible answer is more construction wall.
