The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen opened at Universal CityWalk on September 22, 2016, and Universal is marking the 10th anniversary with a three-hour party this Saturday, September 19, plus a limited anniversary menu that runs through September 30. Universal detailed both in a Discover Universal blog post on September 15.

The 10th Anniversary Celebration on September 19

  • When: Saturday, September 19, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Who: the restaurant's characters, Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux Tinker-Toothsome and her robot companion Jacques.
  • Chocolate: a steampunk-style chocolate display and a melted chocolate dipping station with marshmallows and fruit skewers.
  • Chocolate Origins showcase: a display on the history of chocolate with a cacao pod display, plus banners and a video display on Felchlin chocolate.
  • Melanger station: a cacao bean melanger and chocolate coating display.
  • Photos and keepsake: a themed photo booth and an engraved chocolate coin stamped with the 10-year logo.

Not yet announced: whether the celebration has a cost, whether the dipping station and coin are limited to dining guests, and how many coins are available. Universal's post encourages reservations for any time through September 30.

What is on the anniversary menu

Universal says the menu runs "all September long," though the post detailing it arrived on September 15, so about half the window is left. No prices were listed. The six items:

  • Cheers to 10 Years! shake: chocolate and hazelnut spread-flavored ice cream in a chocolate-dipped mason jar, topped with chocolate gears and a chocolate candle.
  • Crispy Zucchini: a Parmesan-crusted appetizer with sesame soy for dipping.
  • Sedona BBQ Chicken Salad: romaine, chipotle grilled chicken, roasted corn, black beans, avocado, pepper jack, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds and sweet drop peppers, with chipotle lime vinaigrette and tortilla strips.
  • Forest Mushroom Flatbread: goat cheese, caramelized onions, arugula and truffle oil.
  • Grilled Steak Sandwich: grilled steak on a French baguette with caramelized onions, roasted mushrooms, tomato jam, arugula, garlic-herb aioli and horseradish cream.
  • Gnocchi: gnocchi with grilled chicken breast, sweet peppers, rapini and mole cream sauce.

Regulars may recognize a couple of these

A gnocchi with grilled chicken, sweet peppers, rapini and mole cream sauce was on the menu when Disney Food Blog reviewed the restaurant in December 2016, a few months after it opened. Orlando Informer's menu listing for Toothsome, last updated in January 2025, includes both a Chocolate Mole Gnocchi and a Sedona Barbecue Chicken salad with nearly the same ingredients as the anniversary version. Universal's post does not say how the anniversary dishes compare with those, or whether any of them stay on the menu after September 30.

Also at CityWalk that Saturday

The anniversary party falls on the same day as the grand opening of Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice at CityWalk, which starts at 10 a.m., with wristbands for a free hot dog served by Joey Fatone going to the first 100 guests.

Luke Combs' Category 10 Renderings Now Cover the CityWalk Construction Walls, and They Don't All Show the Same Building

Concept art for Luke Combs' Category 10 now wraps the construction walls at Universal CityWalk Orlando, with at least two panels under a Coming to CityWalk Late 2027 banner. The pieces show at least two noticeably different versions of the three-story venue: the gold-capped design released in February and a flat-roofed look with a red-clad corner tower and a giant Luke Combs mural. Aerials show the riverfront land has been raised, with little vertical construction so far.
