Universal Orlando's new Halloween Spirit Jerseys glow in the dark, and exactly one of the five does not
Universal Orlando's Halloween Spirit Jerseys are on the racks, with one wrinkle worth knowing before you buy. Five adult designs are out at the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk, all $85, and four of the five glow in the dark. The Minions are the odd ones out.

The lineup: Hello Kitty, Scooby-Doo, How to Train Your Dragon, The Simpsons and Minions, each $85. There is also a youth Hello Kitty version at $65 with the same design.
What is on each one
The Hello Kitty jersey is pale pink, with Hello Kitty in a witch hat and cape, a small spider perched on the hat, set against a white spider web on the chest. "Hello Kitty and Friends" runs across the back in creepy puffy ink lettering, with her and her friends lined up along the bottom in witch hats and assorted spooky accessories.
The Scooby-Doo jersey is purple, with "Scooby-Doo!" in green puffy ink on the front and a few black bats around it, and the name repeated across the back. Along the bottom of the back, Scooby and the gang stand in front of a haunted house, with bats behind them.

The How to Train Your Dragon jersey is gray and carries the Night Fury emblem on the chest, a black dragon silhouette with a single green eye inside a dark blue circle. The back carries a more detailed Toothless holding a jack-o'-lantern candy bucket, with "Fright Fury" in puffy ink above him.

The Simpsons jersey puts Maggie, Lisa, Bart and Milhouse across the chest, left to right, each in a different costume: Maggie as a witch, Lisa as an angel, Bart as a devil and Milhouse as a mummy. Turn it around for "Trick or Treat" in big orange letters and Homer in a skeleton suit, eating candy straight out of the jack-o'-lantern buckets.
The Minions jersey is solid black and the plainest of the five at first glance, a single Minion wearing a pumpkin over its head on the front, "Sweet & Spooky" on the back in puffy ink surrounded by candy, and a trio of costumed Minions below. It is also the one that will not glow when the lights go down.
Meanwhile, over at Islands of Adventure
Separately, merchandise tied to this year's Ozzy Osbourne haunted house has appeared at All Hallows Eve: Lost Emporium, the year-round Halloween shop in Port of Entry at Universal Islands of Adventure. There are two pieces so far: a black T-shirt at $30, carrying a stylized "Ozzy Osbourne" above an image of the Prince of Darkness winged on his throne, framed in white filigree with red accents; and a $15 acrylic diorama built on a base modeled after his Memoirs of a Madman album, with the throne and the man himself.

The house it promotes, Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness, was announced for Halloween Horror Nights 35 at the end of July. WDW News Today reports that at Universal Orlando, guests will move through ancient ruins and dungeons before boarding the "Crazy Train" into a realm inspired by several albums, among them Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon, The Ultimate Sin and Black Rain.
Worth a stop
If you are passing through CityWalk before a park day, the Spirit Jerseys are an easy detour. The glow-in-the-dark designs carry a green callout sticker on the hang tag, so check the tag if the glow is the reason you are buying.
