SeaWorld Filled In Its Howl-O-Scream Food Page Three Days Before Opening Night, and Four of the Five New Bars Finally Have Addresses
On the morning of Friday, August 28, the entire body of SeaWorld's Taste the Terror page read "Information Coming Soon!" It now runs 17 numbered food and drink locations, and it landed Tuesday afternoon, three days before Howl-O-Scream opens.
The genuinely useful part: four of the five bars SeaWorld has been calling ALL-NEW since July finally have somewhere to be. The Rewind still does not.
Where four of the five new bars actually are
SeaWorld's Howl-O-Scream attractions page has named all five since July and still gives none of them an in-park venue, even though it prints a "Location:" line under every show on that same page. The closest thing to a clue is Resurrection Club, whose blurb ends "bring the Rave Yard back to life," and The Rave Yard is a returning attraction listed higher on the same page, in the group above its Scare Zones section. Taste the Terror attaches four of the five to a named venue, in parentheses:
- The Rewind (#2), the only one of the five without a venue in parentheses
- Resurrection Club (#4), at Glacier Bar
- Byte Bar (#7), at Waterway Bar
- Black Sheep (#17), at Flamecraft Bar
- Larva Lounge (#19), at Pipeline Carnival Bar
If you have walked the park in daylight, that is most of a map you can plan against. Glacier Bar, Waterway Bar and Flamecraft Bar all appear on SeaWorld's year-round dining directory. Pipeline Carnival Bar does not, so Larva Lounge is the one of the four you cannot look up before you go. The Rewind is worse off, with no existing venue in parentheses at all, though the attractions page does stage its new Dead Air show at "The Rewind Bar." SeaWorld has used this shorthand before: the older Feeding Frenzy menu page listed Tormented (Glacier Bar), Space Gate 3 (Waterway Bar) and Longshoreman Tavern (Flamecraft Bar).
The numbering runs to 19, but there are only 17 locations
The numbering runs #1 through #19, and two numbers are simply not there. Neither #3 nor #18 appears anywhere on the page. The page gives no explanation, and none of SeaWorld's other Howl-O-Scream pages account for the gaps. Worth watching once the event map is out.
Two things we flagged in August have quietly changed
At SeaWorld's Scream & Sweat media preview on August 20, the tasting plates carried printed name cards, two of which read "Cricket Tres Leches" and "Pizza Roles." Neither made it to the official page in that form.
The tres leches is gone entirely. The only cricket left is a Cricket Espresso Martini at Larva Lounge, built from vodka, coffee liqueur, dark creme de cacao and espresso. And at The Rewind, the item is now spelled "Pizza Rolls," topped with a garlic parmesan butter sauce.
Prices, and what is on them
Individual menu items do not carry prices on the page. That matches how SeaWorld has done it before: the 2024 Feeding Frenzy menu page listed items and ingredients with no prices either.
What is priced is the Tasting Lanyard, in two tiers. Mocktails & Bites is $49.99 for five punches, good for five food items or full size non-alcoholic beverages. Spirits & Bites is $79.99 for ten punches, good for five food items and five full size beverages, alcoholic or not. The fine print limits both to event nights from September 11 through October 31, with no discounts.
A few copy errors made it to the live page
Several errors survived to publication. Pretzel Kitchen files a "Chocolate Pretzel" under Entrees and then describes it as pepperjack cream, bacon bits and sliced jalapenos. Mercado de los Muertos runs a "Cocktails" heading over a sandwich, a dip, a cake and a bowl of birria ramen, then lists desserts, then runs "Cocktails" again. Black Sheep lists a drink called "Water Purifications," built on "Silve Rum."
None of it stops you ordering, and all three were still on the page Thursday morning, a day before opening night.
If you are going
Howl-O-Scream runs select evenings from September 11 through October 31. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts at 7 p.m.
