Infinity Falls and Abby's Flower Tower Close November 2 for Annual Maintenance at SeaWorld Orlando, and Sky Tower Is Already Down

If getting soaked on Infinity Falls is on your SeaWorld list, you have about a week left. SeaWorld Orlando updated its ride schedule on Monday, October 26, and two rides now carry a closing date.

The notice block on SeaWorld's ride and attraction schedule page now reads, in full:

  • "Sky Tower - Temporarily Closed"
  • "Infinity Falls - Closing November 2nd for Annual Maintenance"
  • "Abby's Flower Tower - Closing November 2nd for Annual Maintenance"

Quick facts: Infinity Falls and Abby's Flower Tower close Monday, November 2 for annual maintenance. Sky Tower is listed as temporarily closed now. SeaWorld has not posted a reopening date for any of the three or a reason for the Sky Tower closure, and the same statuses appear on the ride cards on SeaWorld's main rides page.

Infinity Falls

Infinity Falls is SeaWorld's river rapids ride, which SeaWorld describes as a drop into "churning whitewater." SeaWorld rates its splash level as "Soaked." Riders must be between 42 and 77 inches tall, and guests between 42 and 48 inches need a supervising companion who is at least 14 years old.

The timing stacks up with another water ride. As we reported on October 23, Journey to Atlantis is now closed Monday through Thursday, and its card on the rides page still says so. That card now lists Friday through Sunday hours of 11am to 7pm, while the Journey to Atlantis ride page still lists Friday and Saturday. Once Infinity Falls goes down on November 2, a Monday through Thursday visit will have neither ride running, as the schedules stand now.

Abby's Flower Tower

Abby's Flower Tower is a family tower ride in Sesame Street Land. Guests must be at least 42 inches tall or ride with a supervising companion at least 14 years old. It also closes November 2, so plan around it if you have little ones heading to Sesame Street Land early next month.

Sky Tower

The third notice is the vaguest. Sky Tower is simply "Temporarily Closed," with no date and no explanation, and the Sky Tower ride page itself does not mention a closure. SeaWorld calls the 400-foot tower an icon of the park "since it opened in summer 1974." When it is running, a ride requires "a $6 (+tax) ticket for all regular guests," and Platinum, Gold and Silver Pass Members ride free.

Check before you go

SeaWorld has not said how long the maintenance will take, so check the ride schedule page or the SeaWorld app before a November visit. We will update the story when reopening dates appear.

Which closure hurts your plans more: Infinity Falls, Abby's Flower Tower or Sky Tower?
