SeaWorld's Howl-O-Scream Pass for One Park Costs $10 More Than the Pass That Also Gets You Into Busch Gardens Tampa Bay

Buy the wrong Howl-O-Scream pass and you will pay more money for half as many parks. This is not a members-only rate or a bundle you have to hunt for. It is sitting on SeaWorld Orlando's own ticket page.

The Unlimited Scream Pass, good for unlimited event nights at SeaWorld Orlando only, is $112.99 each, marked down from a $205.99 regular price with a "Save Up to 45%" tag.

The Two Park Unlimited Scream Pass, good for unlimited event nights at SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, is $102.99 each, marked down from $308.99 with a "Save Over 45%" tag.

Same event, same season, and the pass with the extra park is ten dollars cheaper.

How the discounts compare

The two sale prices are built from very different starting points, and that is where the gap appears to come from. The two-park pass is being cut from a much higher list price ($308.99 down to $102.99) than the single-park pass ($205.99 down to $112.99). Discount the bigger product harder than the smaller one and the ladder can tip over. That is the arithmetic on the page. SeaWorld has not said why the two passes are priced this way, so the explanation here is our reading, not the company's. SeaWorld's page understates its own cut, too: it tags the two-park pass "Save Over 45%" when $308.99 down to $102.99 is nearer 67 percent. Busch Gardens' page tags the same pass "Save over 65%," and bundles a free 1-Time Quick Queue with it that SeaWorld's listing does not mention.

It is specific to this one tier, too. At the premium end the ladder behaves normally: the Front Line Unlimited Scream Pass for SeaWorld only is $349.99, and the Two-Park Front Line Unlimited Scream Pass is $499.99.

The two-park pass is also the better product

Beyond the ten dollars, SeaWorld's own fine print gives the cheaper pass more:

• A whole second season. Both events run select dates September 11 to October 31, and the pass covers unlimited nights at each of them.
• Earlier entry at Busch Gardens. The Busch Gardens event starts at 7 p.m., but SeaWorld's fine print says this pass gets you into the park two hours earlier, at 5 p.m.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay's own Howl-O-Scream ticket page does not sell a Busch Gardens only Unlimited Scream Pass at this tier at all. Its only unlimited options are the same $102.99 two-park pass and the two Front Line passes.

How the rest of the ladder looks

For context, from the same SeaWorld Orlando page:

• Single-Night Ticket: from $51.99 each, for one visit on a date you pick, and SeaWorld labels that a starting price
• Any Night Ticket: $66.99 each, or $45.99 each in a 2-pack
• Two Park Ticket (one visit at each park): $97.99 each, regularly $215.99
• Two Park Unlimited Scream Pass: $102.99 each
• Unlimited Scream Pass, SeaWorld only: $112.99 each

Read down that list and the SeaWorld-only unlimited pass is the last line on it, the most expensive of the five, priced above a pass that covers both parks. For $36 more than a single Any Night Ticket you can have both parks, unlimited, all season.

One date on SeaWorld's page to ignore

One caution while you are reading the SeaWorld page. Two of its three two-park listings say Busch Gardens Tampa Bay runs select dates September 11 to November 1. Busch Gardens does not agree. Its event listing, its Howl-O-Scream page and its own FAQ all say the event runs select nights September 11 through October 31, 2026, and SeaWorld's own Two-Park Front Line listing says October 31 as well. Treat the November 1 line as stale copy, not a bonus night. Separately, the landing page runs a countdown reading "Hurry, Offer Ends August 30!" over the words "Tickets As Low As $45.99 When You Buy 2+," which is the buy-by date on the Any Night 2-Pack offer. SeaWorld does not attach that countdown to either unlimited pass.

What we could not confirm: whether the $10 gap is a deliberate promotion or an error, and how long it will last. SeaWorld has issued no press release about it, and United Parks & Resorts has published nothing in its investor newsroom since the August 4 second-quarter release. We found no outlet reporting the comparison. All prices above were read off the live pages on Monday, August 24, and prices can change without notice.

For the record, SeaWorld's official description of this year's event is "5 haunted houses with 4 ALL-NEW storylines," "6 scare zones where the fear is never far," and "5 ALL-NEW themed bars."
