Good news for the ninjas in training: LEGO NINJAGO The Ride is no longer on Legoland Florida's list of scheduled November closures. A different ride is now listed for the same dates.

When we checked the resort's Temporary Closures page on Monday, November 2, the November 2 to 20 slot that had belonged to NINJAGO was gone, and a new line read "Technicycle (11/2 - 11/20)." Legoland's sitemap shows the page was last updated at 2:23pm Eastern on Monday.

What changed on the closures page

On October 12 we reported that NINJAGO had joined the November 2 closures, listed as closed November 2 to 20. The Wayback Machine capture of the page from October 16 still shows "LEGO® NINJAGO® The Ride (11/2 - 11/20)." Monday's version no longer lists NINJAGO among the closures.

That October 16 capture is the most recent one in the Wayback Machine, so we cannot say exactly when the swap happened, only that it happened after October 16. Neither the closures page nor the Technicycle page gives a reason for the change.

Here is everything the page lists across the resort as of Monday (the first five are at LEGOLAND Park):

That matters in a wet week: Legoland's Guest Experience Promise page lists LEGO NINJAGO The Ride among the attractions available "rain or shine." One caution before you build a whole day around NINJAGO: the closures page also says "Additional attractions may be closed without notice."

Technicycle sits out instead

Technicycle is the one where you pedal to fly. Legoland's ride page pitches it this way: "Pedal faster to go higher, or just relax and glide closer to the ground." Riders must be at least 36 inches tall, and riders between 36 and 48 inches must ride with a companion who is at least 14 years old and at least 48 inches tall.

Its listed closure matches Peppa Pig's Balloon Ride exactly, November 2 to 20.

At Legoland on November 1 or 2? Your ticket may be good for another visit

Legoland has also added Sunday, November 1 and Monday, November 2 to its Guest Experience Promise list, along with Saturday, October 17. November 1 was the last date on the Brick or Treat schedule. When we last covered the list on October 14, it ended at October 11, and the October 16 capture still ended there.

The page does not say why those days qualified. Its general rule is that Resort Management activates the promise when "a portion of our rides and attractions are closed for an extended period due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances." National Weather Service observations at the Winter Haven airport recorded rain on both November 1 and November 2, including heavy rain.

The key terms, from Legoland's page:

  • What you get: "guests will be able to use their existing ticket for one (1) more visit within one (1) calendar year from that date."
  • Who is excluded: "this does not apply to Annual Passholders or Summer Play Pass."
  • No refunds: "no refunds will be issued."
  • Blockouts: guests "will be able to visit the Park within 72 hours of that date, without any blockout restrictions." After that, "Any Guest Experience Promise visits after 72 hours of the initial activation will be subject to blockout dates."
  • Parking: "Parking is not included in the Guest Experience Promise. You must purchase a parking pass on the day of your return."
  • How to redeem: "Hold on to the ticket you scanned to enter the Park on your original visit. Bring it back with you, along with your ID, for your return visit and head to the outside Guest Services window."

Were you there for the rainy Brick or Treat finale, and will you be cashing in the return visit?
