Legoland Florida Is Quietly Running an $8 Shuttle From Disney Springs, and a Lot of Orlando Visitors Have No Idea It Exists
Here is a travel trick hiding in plain sight at Disney Springs: you can board a bus there and step off at an entirely different theme park about an hour away. Legoland Florida has been running a direct shuttle, the Legoland Express, from two Orlando area pickup points since late spring, and a wave of coverage this week has finally put it on a lot of visitors' radar.

The basics. The Legoland Express picks up at two spots: Disney Springs, with a 9 a.m. departure, and ICON Park on International Drive, leaving at 8:30 a.m. The return bus heads back about 30 minutes after the park closes. Round trip fares start at $8 per person, and seats must be reserved in advance through the Legoland Florida website. Mears, a longtime Central Florida transportation company, runs the service.
When it runs. Through the summer, the shuttle operates Thursday through Sunday. In September and October it scales back to Fridays and Saturdays. It is wheelchair accessible, with a limited amount of stroller storage on board, so families traveling with gear should plan ahead.

Why it matters. Legoland Florida sits in Winter Haven, about an hour southwest of the main Orlando resort corridor, which makes it hard to reach without a car. An $8 round trip that leaves in time for the morning opening erases that problem in one move, and it does it from a spot thousands of Disney guests walk through every day.
If a day of roller coasters and Miniland USA has been on your maybe list, the math just got friendlier. Just remember to book your seats ahead, because this is a reserve in advance service, not a walk up.
