Cosmic Rewind Will Play "September" All Day on September 21, and EPCOT Is Adding a One-Day-Only Supernova Sip

No shuffle, no surprises, one song. On Monday, September 21, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT will skip its usual random song pick and play Earth, Wind and Fire's "September" all day long.

Disney confirmed it on the Disney Parks Blog on Tuesday, September 15, saying that "on that day to remember, Earth, Wind and Fire's iconic anthem will play all day long!" This year Disney is also promoting a Star-Lord meet and a new drink sold only that day.

One song instead of six

On a normal day, the ride picks one of six songs at random, so you never know which soundtrack you will get for the chase through space. Blog Mickey notes that on September 21 the ride locks to "September" for the whole day, and the other five songs return the next day.

This is a repeat tradition, not a first. Blog Mickey reported the same all-day "September" treatment in 2024 and again in 2025. It also warns that a guaranteed song tends to draw repeat riders, so plan for slightly longer waits than a typical EPCOT day.

Star-Lord will be around

Disney is encouraging fans to stop by and meet Star-Lord that day. The announcement does not give a schedule: Disney says to check My Disney Experience for his times. Blog Mickey says the meet is near Cosmic Rewind in World Discovery.

The Supernova Sip, September 21 only

The new drink is the Supernova Sip, sold at Connections Café and Eatery on September 21 only. Disney lists it as:

• Supernova Sip: "Spicy Hot Honey Syrup, Lemon Juice, Edible Glitter topped with Orange Cotton Candy."
• Spirited version: made with Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon.

Disney did not list a price in the announcement, and neither WDW News Today nor Blog Mickey reported one.

A souvenir stop on the way out

Disney is also steering fans to Treasures of Xandar, the Guardians shop just outside the ride's exit. Blog Mickey points out that the shop is a permanent part of the attraction, not a one-day pop-up, and that its selection on the 21st will be the same as on any other day.

If you are booking for the 21st

Disney's post also flags two current deals:

• 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket: priced from $109 per day plus tax, or from $436 plus tax in total, for visits on most days through October 3, 2026. Once you use the first day, the ticket has to be finished within 7 days.
• Rooms: up to 30% off at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels when you stay 5 nights or longer, valid for most arrivals through October 3, 2026. Disney also lists other savings for shorter stays.

Our take: if you want a ride with the song guaranteed, Monday is the only day Disney has announced for it this year. And if you are chasing the Supernova Sip, remember it is sold on September 21 only, so build a stop at Connections Café and Eatery into your Monday plans.
